1. The Best Gift ♥

March 17, Los Angeles

Shakira saw Adam standing there smiling at her.

“Hello, hello cowboy.”  She shouted approaching and hugging her best friend.

“Hey girl! Happy to see ya again!”  Adam told her, taking the luggage off her hands. “I’m done with everything, so all we have to do, is celebrate our lovely birthdays.” He said proudly.

“Hey you could leave something for me to do you know! I wouldn’t mind.”

“I left something really hard for you! “ Adam said with a serious expression on his face. Though Shakira could see he hardly covered the smile on his face.

“Wow! What is that?!” She said, smiling, with an 'It’s really going to be so hard' face.

“You've gotta invite our guests, you know.” He said, now more worried with this.

“Ohhh, Adam, it’s too hard for me! I can’t get on it on my own you know?” She said, laughing.

“Oops! I guess I’ve gotta help ya then!”

“C’mon Adam, we’ve got to go to the hotel.” She said, dragging Adam towards the car.

“What hotel? Silly, you’ve gotta stay with me!” He said, like he was offended.

“But…dear, I don’t wanna bother you!"

“You won’t! Now hurry up! We’re late!” He said, as they got in the car.

The car ride was almost 15 minutes. When they entered Adam's haouse, Shakira mumbled:. 

"Wow Addy your house is so huge! Do you live alone?"

"Yep. But not so alone! Friends come around, you know?"

"So? Are you afraid of being alone?" She asked and chuckled because she already knew the answer.

"Well, not too much!" He said smiling, but not acting in the way that confirmed he was being honest.

They sat in Adam’s house just chatting and chatting for hours and that is when they both realized they missed each other so much!

...And at last it was 00:00.

“Hey girl!!! Happy B’day! May all your dreams come true!” Adam said gladly, noticing, he was the first person congratulating her.

“Ohhhh!!! Happy B’day cowboy!!! Look at what I’ve got ya!!!” She said, taking a big bag out of her bag and giving it to him.

“Wow, I got something for you too! But I will give it to you later!”

Adam hugged her. She did the same. And they stood in each other's embrace for so long.

They went to sleep. The night was too peaceful for both of them. And the morning was filled with "LOL's." Adam gave her a silver necklace with diamond cars on it. Yup, he spent lots of money on it, but he seemed like he didn't care. The rest of the day, they spent just enjoying each others company and preparing themselves for the party.

When they got to the club, all their guests were waiting for them already. They enjoyed the night so much.

Some of their friends were drunk and did some funny things and that made their night more interesting.

It was about 2 am when they got out of the club. They walked with some of their guests for about an hour. And when the very last guest was gone, they decided to go home as well.

The ride was silent because both of them were too exhausted to speak. When they got home Shakira asked

"So...how was your birthday?" Adams facial expression made her understand that he wasn't too satisfied. He didn't give Shakira a chance to doubt. 
"I haven't received the best gift on my birthday." He said, with a really sad face.

...But before Shakira knew it , his lips were pressed against hers. Shakira tried to fight it, and she succeeded.

"W-What? What was that?" She asked, still completely confused about all that.

"That was the best gift for my birthday. And I hope yours too." Adam smiled.

Shakira didn't care about anything else, all she could see was Adam. They kissed once again, but this time it was different. This kiss was full of love, full of passion.

They needed each other. They just needed each other...They were so in love with each other...
