Tuning Your Heart (SEVENTEEN Fanfic Jeonghan X Joshua)

Chapter One

<Jeonghan POV>
The last bell of the day just rang, I carefully place my B foot Yamaha flute in my red velvet case and store it in the band locker room before I receive a text from Joshua.

"Hey, could you give me some ideas for the PowerPoint on Dogwood ?"- Joshua

Joshua and I are partners for a science project but I don't reply because I already did my half of the project.
I exit the band room and head to the football stadium.

"Reply please, I know you did your share but I just need some ideas." - Joshua

I sigh as I plot myself a seat on the bleachers where I see the empty stadium in front of me.

"Fine wut do u need?" - Jeonghan
A couple seconds later Joshua replies with

"Alright! Are you still at the school, can we meet?" - Joshua

"I'm at the football stadium" - Jeonghan

"Cool I'll head over" - Joshua

-Ten minutes later-
I look up from my phone to see Joshua with his violin case and a stuffed bookbag enter the stadium.

"Sorry I took so long, I had to head over to the orchestra room to pick up my violin" Joshua says as he starts climbing up the steps to sit next to me.

I stare at Joshua's black violin case

"It's fine, show me what you have so far" I say as Joshua pulls out his PowerDot.

<One hour Later>
Instead of giving Joshua some ideas I ended up helping him finish his half of the project.
Joshua gets up to stretch

"Aghhhh, these seats are uncomfortable" Joshua says as he lets out a big yawn

"Yeah" I say as I pack up my stuff

"Are you leaving?" Joshua asks me

"Yup" I walk down the steps, Joshua follows

"why were you in the stadium in the first place?"

"Well I was gonna run some laps but now I'm warn out"

I turn around to leave but then I feel a huge pounce on my back

"Wanna race?" Joshua asks

"I'm kind of tired"

"C'mon just one race, it'll get your blood pumping" offering his hand

I guess I need to let off some energy

I dont say anything and take his hand

Joshua smiles at me and pulls my arm towards the starting line.

"Alright, let's have a fair race, one lap around the field, no cheating" Joshua says as we start getting into our sprinting positions

I start the count down

"Ready...

Get set...

and GO!"

<Joshua POV>
"You're... fast... " I pant heavily as I bend down to catch my breath

"Thanks, you were pretty close though" Jeonghan replies with a huge grin on his face

Jeonghan seems more positive now

"I thought you just played the flute, but you run track too?" I ask still catching my breath

"Im not officially on the school track, I just run for my well being" He says as he picks up his bags

"Do you come here everyday?" I ask as we both start heading towards the exit

"No but I come often" he answers

"oh" I say

Jeonghan and I have a bunch of classes together but we're just acquaintances

"So where are you going next?" I ask

"Band room, I have marching band practice"

"Oh... Well the orchestra room is on the way there, let's walk together"

"Sure"

We enter the school building

I wanna become friends with Jeonghan but he seems like he dislikes me

"What time is your practice over?"

"Like from 6 to 8PM"

"Oh, do you want to practice with me after that?"

"A Flutist and a Violinist?" he questions

"I guess the band and the orchestra don't get along very well but I've always wanted to play with someone in the band" I pout

"I'm okay with practicing with an orchestra player but just so you know alot of the band players will dislike you"

I sigh and pause for a moment

"Won't they dislike you too though?"

"Nah, they'll want another excuse dislike you since you're an orchestra player"

"Well as long as I can play with a band player I don't care"

Jeonghan gives me a faint smile

"but let's practice tomorrow after school, I'll print out music for both of us" Jeonghan says

"Okay meet me at the orchestra room right after school" I grin
