I walked through the deserted area, no one was in sight, only the hot  sun scorching my back. My sweat fell onto the sand, it felt like days since I've seen liquid or drank some.

There's something in the distance... Something...someone...

"Yuya...help me..."

"Yuto!!"

Yuya jumped up from out his bed, panting and sweating from the dream he just had. The room was dim and there was no other light source than a lit candle. Sera was sitting by the bed with tear stained eyes, then wrapped her arms around him.

"You're okay!" The young woman cried.

Yuya held onto Sera, his whole body shook, Yuya was still in absolute shock. Sera took him by the shoulders and looked into his eyes.

"Yuya... Please don't do anything like that ever again!" She begged him. "I don't want him hurting you. He should've known better anyway."

Yuya didn't say anything, he just avoided eye contact.

"Please Yuya say something."

Yuya shook even more, the unstoppable tears coming back like a waterfall. He sniffled then spoke.

"I- d-didn't m-me-an to... I just w-wanted to help It..." Yuya stuttered.

"I know you wanted to help the dragon Yuya but, it murdered many people. You must understand, Your father and his ancestors has been trying to slay It for years..." Sera said.

"B-but... It spoke to me... I heard it..." Yuya mumbles. "I don't know how, I just did."

"You can understand them..?" She carefully asked.

"I-I'm not sure, I think I might've heard him speak."

"So you are born with some sort of power..." Sera said softly.

"What do you mean?" He asked.  "I don't understand you Sera." Yuya said. " Sera, please tell me."

The door then slowly opened and Sera stopped talking, Aoi stood in the door way along with Ray. Ray held an expressionless face while Aoi couldn't look Yuya in the eye.

"Yuya." Ray called to him.

"Mother you're back!" Yuya sprung out of the bed and enveloped the woman in a hug, But the woman didn't hug back, she stood still with that same expressionless face.

"I thought you knew better than that Yuya." Ray said. "I am greatly disappointed in you."

"I know mother..." Yuya said. "I won't do it again, I promise. I'm sorry." Yuya apologized.

"That's good...Now get to sleep, I don't want you getting into any more problems."

"Alright mother."

With that Ray moved away from the hug and walked along, She wasn't sure what to feel for the boy other than uncomfortable. For all these years she had to put up an act, an act of pretending like she loved Yuya when all she felt for Yuya was pain. She rushed into her bedroom, to find Zarc quietly reading a book.
