Mihawk p.o.v.
The gold eyed swordsman watched the furry creature, apparently named after him, pawing on a ball of (f/c) yarn. His gaze followed the winged-cat as it crawled under the bed chasing after its plaything.
"So? Can we keep him?" his eyes traveled over to y/n's face, her lower lip pouting. Attempting to appeal to what he once thought his non-existing heart. Seeing her with her hands clasped in front of her chest and tears in the corner of her e/c eyes he couldn't even think about saying no.
He sighed loudly in defeat, closed his eyes and leaned back on his chair and nodded. Y/n raised her hands in the air and cheered. She stood up from the bed, picking up the dark furred creature, laughing and spinning around the room in happiness.
A small gold bell tinkled from the cat's red collar, Mihawk eyed the accessory with distaste, it seemed that y/n already assumed he would let her keep the cat. Sneaky girl. Y/n stopped her mini-celebration. Walking over to him, she leaned forward and placed a swift kiss on his cheek. She grinned and went back to playing with her new pet.
He watched as y/n dangled the yarn in front of 'Mimi-kun' and the cat pawed and chased after the toy. He decided he would let her keep a hundred cats if it would get her to kiss him again.
"Have you finished packing?" he said as he stood from his seat.
"Yes" y/n answered as she returned the toy and placed it in her duffle bag. Disappointment flickered in the cat's red eyes as his master deemed that play time was over.
"Come, it is time for us to set sail."

Somewhere in the Grandline
Mihawk called over a News coo he saw flying overhead, the bird gently landed on the crook of his outstretched arm. He dug around his pockets and handed over the change. The bird handed over the rolled newspaper; it saluted and flew off to sell more of its cargo.
He read over the black print with mild interest. He glanced at the news reporting about some sort of rebellion, outbreaks like these have been getting recent as of late, he skimmed over the rest seeing as it was of no interest to him.
His attention was grabbed by the corner of a different colored paper peeking over the edge. He gently pulled at it and realized that it was a 'wanted poster' a smile slowly rose at the corner of his lips seeing that the poster was of the straw-hat boy with a large grin on his face.
'30 million berries as a starting bounty isn't half bad' he thought amusedly.
His train of thought drifted to a certain red-haired man, he had no doubt in his mind that this was the boy that the drunkard wouldn't shut up about.
Y/n p.o.v.
You sat on the floor cross-legged, and ran your fingers across Mimi-kun's white furred belly as he lay on his back basking in the sun. He purred loudly as you continued your ministrations. You observed Mihawk with curiosity as you saw him flash a brief smile while looking at what you assumed a 'wanted poster'.
"Y/n! Change the course to 75 degrees north! Use your sword to give us a tailwind." you stood in attention.
"Aye!" you quickly walked across the deck and pulled on the ropes to change the direction. You unsheathed your sword, the silver steel glinted in the sunlight. You changed your stance and made a slicing motion causing a burst of wind to blow your vessel to your destination.
