You wiped the sweat from your brow, as you cut down a monster beetle that decided it would be fun to startle you. You looked at your blades, seeing the haki slowly recede returning your swords to its original silver sheen.
You checked it for damage, seeing that it had none you sheathed your blades with a resounding click. You hummed and skipped towards the golden eyed man situated on one of the flat surfaced rocks. You noticed that he had started a bon fire.
"So how did I do?"
"Hmph, not bad. Don't get too confident."
You grinned and proceeded to catch fish that was in the lake for your dinner.
= the next day =
You woke up and stretched from the impromptu bed you made out of moss. You yawned and went to the lake to refill your water bottle and catch fish for breakfast. You rekindled the fire stabbing the two fishes with a stick to start cooking them.
You checked the pocket watch, the one you found lying around the castle. It was pretty old but surprisingly still worked. The cover had intricate handmade design, and the watch used roman numerals. The small hand pointed to 6, it was almost 6 o'clock in the morning.
You look at the man who was lightly snoring, his face covered with his hat.
"There's no way he's waking up." You sighed resigned that the man was anything but a morning person.
The fish finally finished cooking; you ate yours while you took Mihawk's share and put it in a plastic container that you brought with you. You took out your thermos filled with coffee and placed it next to the food. Knowing that the metal container kept the drink warm. You placed a note stating that it was coffee for him.
You glanced at the opening that you knew to be the path that would lead to the bug queen. You activated your observation haki, your mind showed a path filled with what you assumed to be soldier ants, winding down and down and finally saw a large open space filled with holes with what you think to be ant eggs. Gross. Finally in the middle of the large room lies the Monster queen sleeping.
You deactivated it, knowing you would need the energy to fight the opponents ahead. Thanks to your photographic memory, you memorized the pathway. You fixed your h/c hair as best you could to keep it from falling into your eyes, tying it to a tight ponytail.
Mihawk was going to let you fight it off on your own anyway better to finish early, with that thought you checked your swords, took your bag and head off.
= in the deeper cave =
The cave was littered with glow worms and fireflies, at least not all bugs in the cave are aggressive, you mused. You heard footsteps; you quickly unsheathed your swords and hid behind a rock. As much as possible you wanted to avoid unnecessary conflict.
