22. "Yeah, goodbye Franny"

Franny's P.O.V

It hurt seeing Kian in that hospital bed lifeless but it hurt even more knowing I was the one that put him there, this could have all been avoided if I had never moved in with him.

After hearing his ex say those things, she made me believe that it was in fact my fault. I know it's not true but I am the one to blame, I had to run home, I couldn't bare to look at both her and Kian. They were together first, why should I get in the way of things.

"Fran, you finally decided to come home" Corey said as I walked into our quite house, it's been quite since the accident and somehow still a big fat mess from the party they threw. Looks like I'll be the one cleaning it up.

"Yeah, I needed a shower and to get out of that stupid hospital" I said then sniffed my nose, it was runny and that's when I realised I was crying.

"Are you okay?" He asked as he pulled me into a hug, I grabbed a hold of his shirt and cried about all the pain I was holding in.

"Let's get you into bed" I nodded my head then he lead me to my room after he closed the front door.

"I was gonna go to the hospital because Harrison told me that Kian had just woken up" He said once we made it to my room, I looked at his as if he had grown another head.

"He woke up?" I asked quietly, he nodded his head. Why did I decide to leave now?

"Yeah but seeing you like this, I'll wait until later to go and see him" He said as I began to shake my head.

"No way, you go and see him. I'll come over to the hospital later to see how he's doing, you go" I suggested, he looked at me cautiously but then agreed to go.

"If you need anything, call me. I mean it Fran" He said as began to walk out but then turned to look at me, I sent a small smile his way then nodded my head.

I sighed as I heard the front door close, when will I ever get a break? The sound of my phone pulled me out of my thoughts.

From Barb: you coming to word today?

I groaned, there was no way I was going to work after what just happened and to top it all of I still have to complete papers for college. I began to dial a familiar number.

(Btw I can't remember what she said to her boss so imma just pretend)

"Hello?" The voice of my boss came through my phone.

"Hey, I've been going through a rough patch and I'm sorry but I have to stop working at Toast, it's been an absolute pleasure working with you all but there's just to much on my plate at the moment" I said all in one, wanting to make my point.

"Oh Franny, it's been a pleasure having you work with us. Sorry to hear that you've been through a lot, I hope you're doing okay" He said back to me, I felt like crying. I wasn't okay but I didn't want to discuss my issues with my ex boss.

"Yeah I'll be okay, thank you for everything" I said to him, wanting to hang up. I pulled out some fresh clothes and a towel as I was talking to him.

"No problem, see you around hopefully" He said as I walked into the bathroom.

"Yeah hopefully, I have to go now but I hope everything goes well" I said trying to sound nice but I really didn't want to talk to anyone right now.
