"Ms. Knight! This is not the correct place to fall asleep!' Mr. D's harsh loud words infected my ears. i sat up and looked around several people were snickering amongst themselves. I truly, really didn't care. i just rested my elbows on the table and my chin on my hands. "Now Emma, why do you think you can sleep in class?" Mr. D asked harshly. "I don't know sir." I mumbled. He just sadly shook his head and picked up his clipboard. "Now on that pathetic note. class is dismissed for lunch." quickly I grabbed, my binder and my book bag and scurried out the door. WHAM. I ran smack into someone sending both of our books flying. "watch where you going!" I snap, but when i look up there's no one there. my brain feels slightly fuzzy. i could of sworn there was someone there. I mean I ran smack into him. I shook my head quickly to untangle my twisted thoughts. he was probably just quick.

then quickly so I wouldn't miss the warmest lunches. I ran down the hall and into the caf. quickly i put my book bag down on one of the one people tables. no one liked sitting with my anyway. i got my lunch and sat down quietly, and picked at my food. then some one pulled over a chair and sat down. I looked up at the guest. it was a boy with brown hair, and hazel brown eyes and I had no idea who he was.  "hello...' i said hesitantly. "Hi... I'm Luke Samuels." he said with a small grin. "I'm new." he said cheerfully and i gave him a smile. "so where'd you come from then?" if asked accidentally, and my face flushed red. "Kentucky, and what's your name? I didn't catch it." he said taking the orange juice off my tray. "My names Emma, and if you want my juice you can have it. I mean if you where going to ask anyway." he quickly chugged the juice before he spoke again. "Well, it's very nice to meet you Emma."

"EMMA!" i knew that voice my only friend Alyss, came running into the caf quickly I turned in my chair to face her as she came in. "Hey." she said happily. I gave a small smile in her direction. "Who where you talking to?" she ask slightly confusing me. "well Um Lu-." I turned to face him and he was gone. "Oh well. Can I sit with you?" she asked almost jumping up and down. I just nodded numbly. My brain was racing. Why had he just gotten up and left.
