Hell-bent to make it on her own, Mary-Ellen Price was a widowed farmer on the verge of losing everything she'd worked for. Jamie O'Brien was a ramblin' man, who'd lost his way in the jungles of Vietnam.
She's fallen behind on her loan payments and the bank is fixing to take her farm. Unsure of how to keep going it on her own, she puts an ad in a local newspaper looking for help. He happens upon it when he passes through town. In need of some cash himself, he takes her up on the offer.
Together they race to turn the farm around before the bank takes everything away, but there's more to this job than meets the eye.

AUTHOR'S NOTE
HELP WANTED has been in my drafts basically since I joined Wattpad nearly a year ago. It has been something I have been working on off and on since about mid-July last year. I wouldn't have had the courage to publish it but I was persuaded by several friends after posting it in my drafts tag in my blog- WELL-ROUNDED OUTCAST.
This story was inspired by one of my favorite TV shows Letterkenny, which is a Canadian comedy series that takes place in a small town in Canada. But my own personal experiences growing up on a farm in southern Indiana have helped drive and shape this into it's own unique tale. While the trials and tribulations my characters face aren't real, these situations weren't unheard of and were a very real possibility for some farmers during the 1960s.
I hope everyone who takes the time to read this finds something they can relate to and grow from. It's been a lot of fun reworking my original plot and chapters to bring you guys something worth publishing. I hope you guys get just as much enjoyment reading it as I have. Thanks again for your continued support and I'll see you in Chapter One!
