The Team Exited the Control room and walked into the dark Hallways of Hawthorne Labs. In the distance they could still hear people screaming..... But now it was mixed with Lazarus' Laughter, "Goddamit The rest of the staff..... We can't just leave them" Peter said to Isaac who was leading Flashlight in one hand map in the other, "It's too late for them, and I think Lazarus won't give them a chance at freedom", " But we were the ones who did this not them. They're all innocent" Peter said grabbing Isaac's shoulder.
"we cannot let others suffer for what we did" Isaac Stared at him "What do you expect me to do?!?!" Peter looked him straight in the eye and said, "Save them, you have the light to find them" The rest of the team stepped forward, "Peter is right we need to at least try to save the people" Nicole said as Harold and Jackson Nodded in agreement, "No! If we try to save them Lazarus will have our asses on a plate!" Jacobs yelled to the team, "why are you such an asshole?", " That is a very good question" Harold and Jackson said looking at Jacob, "Maybe I just want to live and not have my Spine removed!" Jacobs yelled at them, "Please Isaac, we have to try" Nicole said grabbing Isaac's hand.
Isaacs Looked at his team for a while until he finally said "Okay fine, We'll try to save them" Jacobs stared at him in disbelief, "Are you mad?!?!! You just sent us on a death sentence!", "Well if you're not coming you'll die anyway" Isaac said with a smirk on his face. Jacobs contemplated what he just said, he looked up in defeat and said, "alright fine let's go save them, but if we die I'm going to kill you!" Harold chuckled and said, "now how in the fuck are you supposed to do that?" Jacobs was about to say something else but instead he let out a sigh and said "Can we just fucking go already?". The team walked towards the main area of the 27th floor making sure not to make a noise.
they reached the room but it was so dark not even the flashlight could pierce the darkness, " What the hell?" Suddenly an Electric cable sparked Making the room glow for a split second..... And in that Split second the team saw someone in the room, "Hey you alright?" Isaac said moving closer to where he saw the person. He was about to touch the Man's shoulder when he heard it, the man was whispering something, "Hey what are you saying?"
The man suddenly turned to look at Isaac. Isaac's Flashlight shined on the man's face showing that it was Extremely distorted and it had Flesh Covering Its Eyes, "What the fuck???!!!!" Isaac yelled moving back as the man's Words became clear, "Vita Et Mors" The man then screamed and charged at Isaac knocking him to the ground, it then tried to claw at his eyes as Isaac tried desperately to escape. As the creature came close to Isaac's eyeballs Harold rushed in and smacked the things head with a Fire Extinguisher throwing it to the side, "What in the name of god is that?!?!" Harold said helping Isaac up.
before Isaac could reply the creature Twisted its head to the side and screamed once more before it stood up and charged once again. Isaac screamed and held his flashlight up in panic, a few seconds passed and nothing happened, "What the hell?" Isaac said looking at the monster. It was shielding its nonexistent eyes from the light and backing away, it then stumbled onto the floor and started to have a seizure, at last it stopped and went limp.
Harold poked it with the Fire Extinguisher and nothing happened, "wait its dead?!?" Harold said in confusion Poking it again, "Well at least we know what kills them" Isaac said as he shined the light at the creature. Suddenly Lazarus' voice rang out, "The creature in front of you is one of the Representations of Humanity, This represents Humanity's Blindness and Arrogance and their determination to cross barriers that should not be crossed. You shall all see the darkness" The Lights in the room suddenly flashed on for a second showing the dead Bodies of the staff. As the lights died the team saw the bodies begin to Twitch, "YOU SHALL ALL DIE HERE!!!!" Lazarus yelled again.
The team could hear the bodies standing up in the darkness as well as the faint whispers gradually getting louder, "Vita et Mors, Vita et Mors, Vita et team, VITA ET MORS!" Then the creatures shrieked and charged at the team, "Get behind me!!!!" Isaac yelled running to the front of the group and shining the light forward, about 5 of them stopped to cover their eyes but the rest kept running, "Run!" Isaac yelled and the group followed. They ran through the hallways with Isaac shining the light at the creatures to stall them, but this only worked on the ones at the front the rest climbed over the blinded ones and kept on running. "Dammit we need to find a place to hide!" Jacobs Yelled as he ran. "There! In the Physics Department!" Nicole pointed to a Blue door a few feet away. Jackson immediately bolted towards the door and tried to open it, "Fuck! We need a keycard!" Jackson yelled while banging the door in frustration.
Jacobs Checked his pockets and fished out a Black Keycard, "Jackson Catch! Its Level 7 Clearance!" Jacobs yelled before throwing his keycard which Jackson easily caught. He then quickly scanned the card on the Lockpad and Opened the door, "Get In!" Jackson yelled as the team quickly entered the door. Before Isaac could enter however one of the creatures leaped onto him, "OH FUCK!" Isaac yelled as he shined the light on the creatures face making it stumble backwards, "Isaac!!!" Nicole yelled as Isaac got up and Jumped into the room with the rest of the creatures only an inch away from catching him.
Harold and Jackson immediately slammed the door shut before the rest of the creatures could get in, "Jesus Christ!" Jackson Yelled stumbling away from the door as the creatures on the other side tried to break in, "they can't get in, that door is made of Titanium" Jacobs said as the others breathed out a sigh of Relief. Suddenly the ceiling above Jacobs burst and a different creature grabbed Jacobs and pulled him into the hole, "Jacobs!!!!" The team yelled in Unison as they ran to the hole. Isaac shone his light into the hole but found nothing except for one of Jacobs fingers impaled on a Metal Bar. Suddenly Lazarus' laughter rang out and filled the room, it stopped but was replaced with Lazarus saying a single word, "One".
