Prologue

Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy were dutiful followers of the Dark Lord, until Narcissa fell pregnant. Scared for her unborn child she went to a seer hoping for some sort of reassurance that her baby would be safe.

The Seer spoke about great power for one and weakness for the other, but in the end both would have large rolls to play in the rise or fall of the Dark Lord. Narcissa was frightened because now she had to worry about TWO babies, and now they would either ascend the Dark Lord to Power or… destroy him. If the Dark Lord found out his reaction would be unpredictable, he might even kill them to erase any possibility of failure. She wouldn’t allow that, she would do anything for her family.

Soooooo she never told a soul about her visit with the seer... Not even her beloved husband.

Months passed and as she began to grow the Dark Lord became unusually attentive? He could feel power radiating from inside of Narcissa, that kind of raw power is rare, and if nurtured correctly the resulting wizard would be most beneficial to his new world order.

The Dark Lord issued orders for Narcissa to bed rest, demanded a few death eaters (other followers) to the soul mission of seeing to her every comfort, and even hexed a nurse from St. Mungos to constantly watch over her, so that there would be no chance of complications concerning his future weapon.

When the babies were born they boy named Draco Lucius Malfoy and the girl Bellatrix Lyra Malfoy. Both had wisps of blonde hair and icy blue eyes.

Voldemort stared at the chubby pink faced girl. He was confused.... He could sense the power from it even when it was inside of Narcissa, but never had he pictured his weapon being… a fragile little GIRL. The natural power could be an asset to his cause, if trained properly, and by the looks of Narcissa and Lucius cooing over the new babies that training was not going to be here. He would not risk that kind of power to be ignored and twisted into a spineless Malfoy.

Voldemort carefully picked up the girl and turned away from the Narcissa, Lucius, and Draco, and left the room.

They didn't argue nor protest... If the Dark Lord wanted their daughter then there was nothing they could do about it. But as that door closed and her precious baby girl was gone Narcissa couldn’t hold back her tears. Leaning down to her son’s ear she whispered for his ears only,

“Everything will work out as it should my love.”

As for Lucius Malfoy he never wanted a daughter… so the Dark lord was doing him a favor, so he just smiled down on his son.

The journey didn't take long, soon Voldemort arrived at Black Estate were Druella Black lived.

As he walked up the cobblestone path he felt a small tug on his cloak. He looked down to see five small pudgy fingers clutching his cloak, and little Bellatrix trying to eat it with her gums (she didn't have teeth), and she was slobbering all over it.

Without realizing it, a small smile crept onto Voldemort's face. It stayed there only for a few seconds before his scowl again dominated his face.

The large doors burst open, revealing a shorter woman with curly black hair with a few grey streaks and dull grey eyes. She bowed her head in respect. Voldemort shoved the child into her open arms and turned his back on the troubling infant, and how it was making him feel... Soft?....... No! He couldn't have that, not now, not ever.

"Druella the child will be absolute perfection in every way and most importantly NO ONE, not even your daughter or her husband must know she is here. I will be back for her, and she will obey my will or your entire family will be disposed of. Am I under stood?!"

"Yes my Lord."

With one last look at the infant curling into her grandmother's bosom, yawning, then  he was gone.
