Bellatrix Malfoy/ Black’s POV

"BELLA!!!! Where are you!!!"

I rolled my eyes and stood up. It was always like this... Grandma Druella would fall asleep reading the Daily Prophet, I would study in my library (like I ALWAYS do!), and she would wake up and go crazy wondering "where I was”.

"I'm in the Library Grandmother!" I set down my Advanced Dark Arts textbook on the window seat I had been sitting on, and waited for the senile woman to make an appearance. Like clockwork the doors to the library swung open with a BANG!

"How many times have I told you not to wonder off child? You should be in the training room by now!"

I scowled at my grandmother. Did we really have to play this ridiculous game EVERY day?!

"First of all for the thousandth time I am NOT A CHILD! And second Grandmother, my training session ended 2 hours ago, and I’ve been studying, like always, since then."

This conversation was going nowhere (it never did), so I turned my back to my annoying guardian and returned to my reading… not that I really needed too, I’ve read every book on this ridiculous excuse for an estate at least 100 times.

“Don’t turn your back on me young lady!” I felt her grasp my shoulder and try to spin me around. My vision reddened and I felt a tug in the pit of my stomach. I whipped around raised my hand and watched as my Grandmother was jerked into the air.

“DON’T YOU DARE TRY TO ACT LIKE YOU HAVE ANY POWER OVER ME DRUELLA!”

A look of terror crossed her face, but I don’t care, I do NOT take orders from anyone except the Dark Lord… who I haven’t met…yet. I respect her, honestly I do, I mean how many elderly women would take on an infant and raise her when her parents turn out to be total flakes. But now that I am 15 I’m stronger than she could ever hope to be! She cannot treat me like she owned me, NO ONE OWNED ME!

I threw her aside and returned to my window seat. It over looked the gardens and had a great view of the sunset, it always helped me to calm down.

“LEAVE ME.”

After a scurrying of feet the sound of the door clicking shut reached my ears. I sighed; I really should have handled that better… Oh well she had asked for it and I don’t feel any guilt.

Leaning against the pillows I looked over the same dreary spells I memorized when I was 9, until I drifted off to sleep.

DREAM

I woke up startled, something had hit the window. I jumped to my feet. Who in their right mind had the nerve to throw something at MY house!

Clank!

There it is again.  I threw open the window.

“Who’s there? What do you want?!”

Silence. I was about to close the window and dismiss the sound as my imagination flaring up when I saw something move in the shadows.

“You.” A masculine voice responded.

What? Who the heck does this Bloody boy think he is? I don’t even know anyone other than Grandmother and the famous witches and wizards in the books I’ve read.

“Who are you?!”

The obnoxious boy chuckled (I don’t understand the humor in my question) and spoke again, only this time in a  teasing tone, “Why don’t you come down here Bell, and figure it out.”

To me it sounded like a challenge, and I do not loose challenges. I jumped out of the 3rd story and glided down to the ground landing without a sound.

“Show yourself CREEP before I get really angry!”

Again the boy chuckled! Are you kidding me right now? He must honestly have me confused with someone else because anyone who would probably know me would know that pissing me off is one of the most stupid things that you will ever do.

“Creep? Ouch Bell way to make you boyfriend feel like a stalker.” I felt his breath on the back of my neck and two arms snake around my waist, pulling me into a hard chest.

Strangely the embrace made me feel safe and happy, and I liked it?

“I missed you Bell. Are you okay? Are you hurt? Please tell me you are alright Bell.” After each sentence the boy placed a feather like kiss on my neck. The kisses caused a strange shock up my spine.

“Who are you? And how do you know me?”

The arms around me loosened slightly before he turned me to face him and gently pressed his soft lips against mine in a sweet feather like kiss.

I resisted at first, trying to push him away but that only caused him to tighten his grip around my waist. None of my spells would work! Why wasn’t my magic working?!?!!!

The kiss wasn’t all together unpleasant and I felt my lips started to move in sync with his. I felt the pressure of the brick house against my back. His teeth gently nibbled on my bottom lip, causing me to snap out of my dream like state.

What was I doing?! Who was this guy? Why was I kissing a stranger? And how was I going to get out of this?

With all might I pushed him away from me. He stumbled backwards and laughed! Turning on his heel he ran into a maze to the left.

When did that get there?

“If you want answers Bell you’re going to have to find me!”

So in the darkness of night I ran after the bizarre boy. I couldn’t see anything; I shouted it made no noise. I was hopelessly lost and didn’t know how to rectify it, so I sat down on the damp grass waiting for the stupid Block Head to realize I wasn’t following him.

Faintly I heard laughter and a dim light about 10 feet in front of me around the corner. The urge to investigate won out with the sense of dread building in my stomach.

As I quietly peeked around the corner I saw two blonde adults the I had only ever seen in photos smiling at a toddler riding a toy broom with green robes that looked a little too big for him. The women laughed and looked straight at me, “oh it’s you, what do you want brat? Can’t you get the hint that we don’t want you here? You discussed us.” With a sneer she looked back to the boy, and the man looked at me in distain.

“Why would we want you? You’re nothing! I’m ashamed you lived this long, I should have killed you before you could taint our family name with your screw-ups!” Shaking his head he too turned away from me and looked adoringly at his son.

I was right about why my parents dumped me here. I disgraced them and disgusted them.

A cold, clammy, pale hand grasped my shoulder, squeezing it for I think comfort. I looked up to see a pale man with ruby red eyes and a snake slit nose… Voldemort.

He did not frighten me, he was my master and I was lucky he wanted someone as ‘disgusting’ as me as a follower. I bowed before I heard his raspy message.

“Bellatrix it is time to engage my weapon, have your things packed by dawn, which is when I am coming for you.”

“Yes my Lord.”

End of Dream

I woke up still in the library, only I had a blanket covering me and the candles were dimmed. I threw off the blanket and raced through the halls to my bedchambers.

I pulled out my wand (handmade of course) and used the extension charm on my green purse. After about one minute my room was bare, everything I owned now residing in my bag. Now all I had to do was wait to be taken away.

There is no doubt in my mind that the Dark Lord came to me in my dream and gave me instructions to ready myself for departure. I contemplated telling the old woman goodbye and thank her for raising me, but I didn’t see the point, she wouldn’t remember it in the morning, and I don’t do gratitude or caring well.

At the first burst of sunlight a pop resounded in my room. I grabbed my bag and bowed my head.

“Come we have work to be done Bellatrix.” I simply smirked and took his outstretched hand, looking into his blood red eyes and nodding.

He smirked right back at me, “Good.”
