Elliot
The heat from her body and her smell engulf me. Her small fingers trace patterns on my chest. I don't want to leave her. If I could, I would stay here with her forever. But I can't, Liz needs my help. And I need to get out of here before I get caught again.
I look down at her. She has even more tattoos than I thought. They are so beautiful. She is so beautiful. She would be safer without me. Maybe I should take back my offer. Tell her I was just using her for sex. I don't know. I don't want to hurt her but I don't want her to get hurt by being with me either.
"What are you thinking about?" She asks looking up at me through her long eyelashes.
I sigh.
"Will you come with me?" I ask. Part of me wants her to say no but another part of me wants her to say yes. I'm being selfish.
"I can't Elliot." She says and I close my eyes.
"My patients need me here. I have a life here Elliot, I can't just leave." She says.
"I understand. I'm not trying for force you, it is your choice, it always was. It's probably better that you stay away from me. Anyone who gets too close gets hurt." I say honestly and she rests her head on my chest again.
"I need to go though." I say and I hear her sigh.
"Okay." She says scooting away from me.
She watches as I get dressed. Her eyes wander my body as if trying to keep the memory of it in her mind for safe keeping.
As I am about to leave, she speaks up.
"What if I change my mind?" She asks.
"If you change your mind... meet me at 3427 Lincoln Drive at 2 am." I say. That is when my plane to Austria is leaving.
"Okay." She says and I swallow. I've never felt a sadness exactly like this before.
"Okay." I say and walk out of her bedroom to the front door.
As my hand grazes the doorknob she calls after me.
"Wait!"
I turn around and she reaches up to kiss my lips. Her lips against mine make me forget that anything else exits. I grab her hair in my hand and shift her head back gently.
When we pull away I look into her eyes.
"Goodbye Bella." I say and she closes her eyes.
"Goodbye Elliot." She says and I turn and walk out the door before I change my mind.
I walk downstairs. Outside the car is still waiting for me.
When I get in, Katherine glares at me, arms crossed.
"What took you so long?! We've been waiting here for over an hour!" She yells and I roll my eyes.
"Drive. We are going to Jose's." I say and the man drives.
"Yeah, sorry I had to take care of something." I say and she rolls her eyes.
