(Gregory's POV)

I wasn't prepared for something like this. I would never be prepared to hear that the guy I have a crush on was in a very terrible car accident. It was around 11PM when I received a text from Dante. Of course, I thought it was actually him. Turns out it was his dad sending me the bad news.

Gregory, it's Dante's father, Jonathan. Sadly, my son was involved in a very terrible accident. He's in bad shape and I really think he won't be the same again after this. However, that boy still couldn't keep his mind off of you. Dante really wants to see you Gregory and if you need a ride just call his phone and let me know the plan. Sorry for texting this late at night.

I had no interest in disappointing Dante by ignoring his request. The next day I had let my parents know about the whole situation. Chandler also received the same text indicating that he wanted both of us to visit him. Both I and Chandler have been hanging with Dante for a good few months now and it's safe to say we enjoy each other's company.

When Dante did not attend school for the last two days or even texted us. We both knew that something went terribly wrong. Luckily for us, our parents had no plans the weekend and were willing to take us for visiting.

Pretty much that leads me over to where I am currently am. Which is in the waiting room with Chandler and Dante's mom. Temptation urged me to ask exactly what had happened since Jonathan had not gone into detail. Out of respect and seeing as she was already in tears it would better to leave those questions for another time.

"Mrs. Steppeson?" A lady with a clipboard called out. Everyone stood up in a unison, Dante's mom leading the way towards Dante. After a few turns and walking down a long hallway we reached our destination. Opening the door slightly everyone could hear the slow beeps of the heart monitor filling the silence. With the sound of Spongebob talking with Squidward. A smile crept on my face when I saw that Dante was there watching television like the casual nerd he was. When he noticed us he couldn't help but smile back at us.

"How are you feeling darling?" His mom asked.

"A lot better than before." He replied making a sly smirk at me. Honestly, it made me blush harder than expected. Chandler picked up on this and slapped me on the shoulder mouthing the words, 'I got you.'

Chandler would then whip out his phone typing away.

Ms Steppeson, I am hungry and I'm certain you are too. Let's grab some breakfast! I'll buy.

"Oh, sweetie that's really sweet of you but I will p-"

Nonsense! A beautiful woman like you should stay well nourished.

Before she can even offer a word out of protest. Chandler already was pulling her out of the room. "My brother, gotta love him." I chuckled nervously scratching the back of my head.

"Gregory, I know this will sound weird but," he paused swallowing the lump in his throat. "I missed you."

I heavily sighed walking over to the bed. "I missed you too. And don't say that okay? Your not weird." My eyes scanned down his entire body seeing just how broken he exactly was. "What happened to you?" I asked softly.

"Mum told me that there was man who was driving over the speed limit and intentionally tried to kill me. That's really all I know what transpired. I would like to see the results but I can't even move my body. What does it look like?"

I really think you don't wanna see the results.

"Your fine, battered up of course but your fine." Dante smiled in relief from the news. In my mind, I felt just as guilty for lying straight to his face. He was not fine whatsoever.
