As all love stories start, it was raining. "Come on, car. You can do it," Alex groaned. Her yellow bug was refusing to start. "I guess I'll walk it." Alex muttered as she looked out the window and saw the rain pouring. She grabbed her umbrella from the back seat and headed down to church.
Alex was filling in for her little sister, Elena, was supposed to be reading but her allergies were acting up. Alex was filling in for her. She wasn't worried, she did it all the time when she went to St. Mary's, a middle school.
Church was starting in 10 minutes and Alex was catching a cold. Her umbrella won't let her open it so that was useless. She knew she wasn't going to make it. Then a pile of mud flow her way as the motorcycle zoomed passed. Her new Kate Spade dress was totally ruined. "You little.." she shouted. The motorcycle stopped. "Hey.. I'm sorry." The man explained. "Jermey?" She asked. "OMG, Alex?" Jermey and Alex both went to St. Mary's but then went to different high schools. They had only seen each other through each other's Snapchat story. "Was little angel Alex going to swear?" Jermey teased. "No, especially since I was heading to church." "Guess, Alex hasn't changed, well in some ways." Alex chuckles. "Well, text you later if I don't want to be an hour late I better start running." "In the rain? I'll drive you." Alex stares at the bike questionably and nods, "If you don't mind a little mud."
This love story is not about Jermey and Alex but this Alex remembers as the day it started.
