After Church...

As everyone one was gathering after church for snacks, Alex went to find Jeremy. He was reaching over to grab a cookie. "Hey, thanks for ride."
"No problem."
- awkward silence -
"Hey so some of my friends are meeting up later for some milkshakes. You in?" Jeremyasks. "Ya, text me the times?" Alex asks. "Okay sure." As Jeremy leaves Alex's friend, Luanda, comes up.
"Was that Jeremy?"
"Ya, blast from the past."
"Wow. He grew up hot."
Alex nods and smiles.
"He invited me for some milkshakes." Alex says. "Omg, did you say yes? I'm coming up with a ship name now!" Luanda whispers screams. "Relax, some of his friends are coming and so are you?" Alex asks. "Yes!" Luanda answers, "Will your mom care?" "Why would she? She loved Jeremy when we were younger." I respond. "True. Just be careful everyone is talking about how Alex was getting a ride from a stranger on a bike..."

Alex got a ride off home by some off her tennis friends. When she got inside her brick cottage house her mom was waiting.

"Carpooling?"

"My car isn't working. We'll have to call Mike."

"Were you carpooling with anybody else, today?"

"Yes, but it was little Jeremy."

"Well, Little Jeremy isn't little anymore and owns a bike."

"If I recall correctly you were friends with some bikers."

"Years ago and you know we can't afford this type of stuff."

"The next election is in a year."

"And if anything goes wrong now it could ruin my chances for next year!"

"Mom, Can I take a shower?"

"Ya, I'll be in city hall doing a press conference on the crime so if you need something either call your dad or wait till I'm done."

Luanda picks up Alex. "Where is the restaurant?" Luanda. "Um, Jeremy said downtown byCyline Street. We won't miss it, there's a big red sign." Alex responds. "Have you ever been there?" She asks. Alex shakes her head.

As the friends near the restaurant, "I haven't been downtown in forever." Alex says. "Same, but do you remember that theater we us to go to in middle school."

"Oh, ya. Remember our "boyfriends" we used to get Matty jealous."

"Well, it worked!"

Matty and Luanda had a relationship in middle school but broke up right before high school.
