[Your Perspective]
"I'm sorry," I sighed as I sat down across from him.
"Why are you sorry?" he questioned.
"I've been avoiding you because of- ...things from before," I stopped myself.
"Like what?"
"Nothing that matters right now, okay? Now, what did you need to talk to me about?"
"Us. I feel like there's something here," he gestured between us, "that I'm missing."
"I..." tears started falling from my eyes, but I wasn't sad.
I was happy. Happy that he remembered. It's not much, but he knows that there was something between us. He got up and ran to me.
"(Y/N). Please don't cry," he pleaded.
"I-I'm not sad I-I promise," I slightly laughed through my tears.
"Then why are you crying?" he gave me a confused look.
"I'm just- I'm glad. Glad that you're here."
"I- me too," he gave me a warm smile.
I stood up and hugged him. He was surprised for a second, but almost instantly hugged me back. We stayed there for a long time. It gave me time to think about things.
Sean still had feelings for me, even when he barely remembered who he was.
Sean remembered that we had something special.
Technically, he knows nothing about me, but still, he's here. Hugging me. And caring for me.
As we pulled away, he accidentally grabbed my wrist. I flinched slightly, but quickly pretended to be okay, praying that he didn't notice. When I looked back up at him, his eyes were filled with worry. He noticed.
"(Y/N), are you okay?" he asked in a calming voice.
"Y-yeah. I'm fine!" I nervously chuckled.
"(Y/N)," he insisted.
"I said I'm okay," I told him, crossing my arms.
"Let me see your wrists."
Silence.
"(Y/N). Please let me see your arms," he pleaded.
I said nothing, but slowly uncrossed them and held them out for him. Sean looked me in the eye, before rolling up both of my sleeves. I closed my eyes and heard a small, sharp inhale, but not much more.
"Oh, (Y/N)..." he sighed.
"I-I'm s-sorry," I replied, sniffling.
"Hey, hey, hey, don't be," he lifted my chin up as he dropped my arms, "(Y/N), please open your eyes."
I slowly opened my left eye and looked at him. Then quickly shut it. I giggled a bit and opened my right eye. Looking at him and quickly shutting it again. I heard him chuckle a bit before I opened both my eyes.
Sean was only inches away from my face. I felt myself blush as I looked deep into his ocean blue eyes. I saw the beautiful smile on his otherwise tired-looking face. It made me happy to see him like this. He hadn't looked like this since before the accident. I liked this Sean better than the one I saw yesterday.
"Earth to (Y/N)," Sean laughed, still holding my chin.
"Oh, shush," I laughed, not pulling away from his grasp.
"Y'know, you look even prettier close up."
"I could say the same."
"Oh, so I'm pretty now?" he grinned.
"Maybe," I smiled.
Before I knew what was happening, we both leaned in and sparks were flying.
This.
This was my dream come true.
