One killed after brutal car accident
Toronto Star---Two cars collide on icy Toronto intersection leaving one hospitalized and one dead. The cause of the crash was not only due to the icy roads, but a drunk driver.
Kiara Ross, model and former basketball player, was a victim of a drunk driver who had hit her car hospitalizing her. Unfortunately, the other driver, Kevin Jackson, was killed after the impact due to the fact he was not wearing a seat belt.
"Kevin had always been an alcoholic. Right after our divorce he couldn't put the bottle down." Stated Kevin's ex-wife, Vanessa dunde. According to a witness statement, Kevin was speeding down the streets and had ran the red light when Miss. Ross had a green light.
Mary Jay, Kiara's closest friend's statement on the accident,"Kiara is an outstanding athlete, friend and captain. I can't imagine a life without her. She will get past this small obstacle in her life, she has to."
Police and other officials are now deciding on how they can prevent more accidents due to drunk driving. In the meantime, Kiara is currently surrounded by her friends and family as she resides in the hospital.
