Coals P.O.V

Wind blows South, trees dancing in the cool breeze of Newleaf as the warm sun sets behind the new-coming trees, the dark shadow of night coming upon the place I call home. Small shadows of various small mammals scurry around the becoming dark forest. A small mouse stops and points it's little nose to the East taking in the many scents  around him. He prances about the several patches of low grass, he stops again. -
Quiet on my paws, I launch out of my hiding spot in a nearby bush, pouncing on my prey. Killing the now limp morsel I pick it up in my mouth and trot back to my den happy in my catch.

I take pride in my den, it may be a dug up hole in the ground on the edge of the horse-place... or farm I stay at but it's home. I quickly sprint over to find my mom so I can show her my catch, I pick my head up to take in the various scents of the farm at moonhigh, searching for one that matches the smell of my mother that I know oh so well. I begin my journey so find her as I leap through the talk blades of grass, the moon shines brightly on my fur as I bound around with energy.
Before I am able to reach my mother I am tackled to the ground by a sudden force, my prize falls out of my mouth and I look up to see my brother, Avery. He was a slightly bigger grey striped tabby cat with green eyes. I was the only black kit in my litter. I let my guard down and push him off of me, I stay down laying in the wet grass, "what was that forrrrr-??" I mutter in a sigh of relief at the sight of my brother. The larger tabby picks up my prize as a grin pops up on his face, he trots over to our mother with his head high and drops the mouse at her paws.
Sprout, our mother, smiled at the sight of her son, "now what did we find here?" She chuckled. Her voice danced in the wind, like a winter breeze, sharp but yet so elegant and calm. It was truly relaxing, and I know my siblings could agree. "Momm! Look what Coal caught!" He flicked his tail towards me, Sprout looked over to be with a soft smile, "your getting better every day, darling." she stated proudly. I pick my head up from the ground and cock my head to the side slightly, "whaaa..." he mumble confused, as I was expecting my brother to take all the credit. I soon realize what was happening and I playfully roll my eyes "thank you mom." I giggle and swiftly stand to my paws.
Sprout softly nods as she heads to her den area, "it's getting dark, you two best be heading of to dream of starlight now" she called out to the two of us "your sister will be sleeping with me tonight, she's coming down with a fever.." she quickly adds before trotting into her den.

Later, when I reach my den I head inside and lay down in my mossy bed, stretching out my paws. It was very soft and easy to get comfortable in. I rest my mind and send a quick message to starlight, wishing for my sister, Riley, to get better soon. Soon after that, my breathe becomes slow and I doze off to sleep.
