"Hey," Ashlie smiled, stepping over the roots from under the swamp tree. "Sorry it's not the best place, but it's something." Dommy stepped to the side, revealing a boat from behind the vines that had candles placed carefully on the lily-pads, illuminating the path down the river.
"Wow," Ashlie breathed.
He really was the opposite of Tommy.
She would know.
Ashlie shuddered as she sat on the boat, "A-are you cold?" Dommy stammered, clearly nervous. "Just a little, but-" Ashlie was cut off by the sound of Dommy zipping off his ragged jacket that wouldn't help with the cold whatsoever with all the holes.
But Ashlie took it anyway bringing it over her shoulders, her eyes meeting the melting candles as her hair seemed to glow in the fading light.
Dommy started to row, keeping his focus on her at all time, taking in the small details.
Like how she smiled when she was staring at the flame. How her flowing dark-blue dress fit her perfectly, how she put in all this make-up, how she ran her thumb in star shapes over the boards.
She meant everything to him.
How did Tommy not put her first?
"I...I love you." Dommy blurted.
Ashlie's soft giggles filled the air, it was like music to him.
Ashlie broke her gaze from the candles and stared him in the eyes for awhile, "I love you too, loser." She finally said.
"Do you think they'll be mad? If they figure out?" Dommy whispered, "I-I really don't want to lose you." He let the eye contact fall, his heart throbbing from the thought.
"They won't be mad, don't even think that." Ashlie frowned, "They'll be furious and never let us see each other again." She felt her heart drop as those words escaped Dommy's mouth.
"Then they won't." Ashlie finalized, "We-we can run, we can go so far they won't even know where to start looking, we can go back to the desert or take the air ship-" Ashlie stopped as Dommy had tears falling from his eyes.
"I love you." He repeated.
"I love you." She told him.
Dommy stopped as they hit a piece of land, where the candles led.
"They're not going to understand," Dommy said. "Dommy what are you-" Dommy caressed her cheek, he was still crying.
Dommy felt himself lean in and his lips connect against hers.
Ashlie, oblivious to what was going on, didn't kiss back.
She didn't know that was the last kiss they'd have,

"Oi! Get the bloody Hell off of her!" Uni exclaimed and shined a flashlight on the two.
They were in front of Ashlie's house.
She didn't know the river lead to a swamp,
Ashlie didn't even know they had a river.
"Dommy?!" She questioned in a panic. "Ashlie what the fuck?!" Tommy pulled her off the boat, "And get this damn coat off, it's basically a torn up rag!" Tommy violently ripped it off.
"You guys don't understand!" Ashlie was dragged back by Nick, "S-Stop! Stop!" Ashlie yelled. "You don't know what you're doing!"
"He's tricking you!"
"He's trying to kill you!"
"I LOVE YOU!" Dommy screamed.
"He doesn't love you, he's lying."
"Don't touch her!"
"Don't go near her!"
"How dare you trick her?!"
"Did Duni send you? Or was it Dres? Don, even?!"
"STOP, PLEASE." Ashlie begged as Dommy was shoved off the boat and into the river.
"Y-You guys!" Ashlie choked on tears, "Dommy can't swim!" She called over their yells as Nick kept trying to pull her into the house.
"DOMMY CAN'T SWIM, HE'LL DIE! PLEASE," Ashlie thrashed around. Nick didn't seem fazed, "He has you under some sort of... spell, Ashlie." Nick said and got her into the wooden house.
"We'll ask Dawn, Uni, anyone, but maybe it'll only fade if he's gone." Nick was worried, yes, but he didn't solve it the right way.
She felt her heart break as Uni, Jon, Tommy, and Dawn walked back in.
"Where is he?"
"The affects didn't fade," Uni frowned.
"He's, he's dead?" Ashlie whispered. "YOU FUCKING ASSHOLES, YOU KILLED HIM!"
"Ashlie, this feeling you have, it's not real." "THEN HOW CAN DUNI LOVE UNI, HUH, HOW CAN THAT WORK. YOU HAVEN'T KILLED HIM YET."
"WE ARE PLANNING TOO!"
"YOU DON'T LOVE HIM BACK, THAT'S THE ONLY DAMN THING WRONG WITH IT. IF DUNI HAD THE SUPPLIES TO MAKE UNI FALL IN LOVE AND HASN'T DONE IT, HOW THE HELL DO YOU THINK DOMMY HAD THE DAMN POWER?!" Ashlie let out a ear-piercing scream.
It felt like part of her was being ripped away.
"Fuck you," She whispered.
Her hair that glowed in the light was now replaced with a white, and her beautiful brown orbs were replaced with red ones that seemed to be filled with no more happiness and wonder.
Just hate.
"A-Ashlie?" Tommy whispered.
"Dashlie." She corrected.
