8 --* He's Back

“Ouch!”

“Idiot!”

“Ouch! It hurts! Courtney!”

“You shouldn’t have done that!”

“I was just trying to protect you!”

“Protect me from someone who saved my life? You idiot!”

“I didn’t know!”

While walking, Kiyoshi is chuckling as Courtney keep on reprimanding and hitting Mark’s shoulder. Mark is trying his best to run away from Courtney but the girl is persistent on pulling and reaching Mark’s head to hit him with her hands. Kiyoshi is just walking behind the two, watching them.

“Now, apologize!” Courtney demanded.

“Why would I ap—AHHHH OKAY OKAY!” Mark yelped when Courtney pinched his ears.

Kiyoshi smirked. Mark rolled his eyes before saying “I’m sorry”

Just then, Courtney smiled a bit. “Is that okay now?” Mark asked. “Good” Courtney said.

They continued walking. Meanwhile, Kiyoshi asked something. “Is he your boyfriend?”

Mark straightened up his shirt and said “I am her b—“

“Boyfriend? A friend who’s a boy, maybe” Courtney said. Mark pouted a bit.

“He acts like one” Kiyoshi said jokingly.

“And you act like a superhero” Mark retorted.

“Mark!” Courtney shouted. Mark brushed his hair with the use of his hands while Kiyoshi rubbed his nape.  “Whatever. Where’s your car, Mark?” Courtney asked.

“We are here” he answered.

Mark's car was parked near the coffee shop on the 17th district. Mark searched for his keys and said "Go inside, I'll drive you home" 

Courtney looked at Kiyoshi. Kiyoshi smiled and said "I'm fine I can take care of myself"

"But--"

"He's right Courtney, he saved you, he can protect himself. And besides, he's older than us. He can take care of himself" Mark said, cutting off Courtney's words.

"Okay then"

Mark lead Courtney inside the car. But before Courtney closes the door, she shouted "Thank you"

Mark stared at her for a moment. Kiyoshi chuckled then smiled. Courtney smiled back. Afterwhich, Mark walked towards the driver seat, closes the door, starts the engine and drives away.
