Courting Courtney

At first, he just let the police officers to take him to the police station. He stayed calm for he knows that proving his innocence will be a way to get out of that place. But he never expected for the worst thing to happen -- as soon as they get inside the police station, they put him behind the bars.

His mouth formed a big O as the police officer locked him up to jail.

"GET ME OUT OF HERE I AM NOT THE CULPRIT!" he shouted.

The police officer laughed "Oh c'mmon, the cellphone is the evidence!"

"So you will just put me in to jail without letting me explain?"

"Shut up kid!"

"I ain't a kid!"

This isn't happening. He thought. Kiyoshi sighed in disbelief.

Courtney reached for the temples of her head. It is obvious that she is stomping her feet as she headed towards the office of her step-aunt. She banged the door as she opened it and walked into her not so favorite teacher's direction.

"Why am I being called at the office again?!" she asked. 

She looked at her side and saw Mark staring at her too.

"And why is he here too?" she asked again, pointing out at her best dude.

"I would just like to inform you that the person who put you in danger last night is now under arrest" 

Her eyebrow raised. "And so?" she retorted. "Let my parents handle it"

"Courtney" Ms. Anderson called her name with a firm voice.

"What?"

"We would like you to confirm if the person at the poice station was the one who stole your phone. Of course, we would file necessary charges against that culprit"

"Is it really a big deal? I am safe" Courtney said.

Ms. Anderson replied "No buts" 

"Okay then" she agreed.

"And Mark will accompany you" Ms. Anderson said looking at Mark.

Courtney sort of rolled her eyes "Why? There's no need--"

"But he was there, right?" Ms. Anderson cut off her words. "And besides, we don't want you to go there alone. You, together with Mark and some guards, will go to the police station"

"Fine, whatever" Courtney said as she started walking out "Mark, c'mmon"
