Betty wasn't even ready for the dance. She haven't even started organizing her stuff. After school ended, she didn't saw Cheryl. She walked down the pathway of the peaceful town when she saw this bright diner.
Pop's Chock-lit Shoppe. It said, she was a little hungry and needed a drink. Betty immediately remembered her parents and their friends used to hang out in this diner.
She went inside and the bell above it jingled. There was this old man (who kinda looks like on their 40s) behind the counter. "Oh! Hey another Cooper!" The guy said. "You know me?" Betty asked.
"Oh yeah. I'm Pop, your mother used to come in here everyday. Until she left and went to New York." Pop Tate smiled. "You should go take a seat, I'll get you a milkshake. It's on the house." Pop walked to the kitchen to make Betty a milkshake.
Betty sat down and she saw Cheryl and a doll-looking guy hand to hand. Probably her boyfriend? Betty wanted to go and greet them, but she was too disgusted by their PDA. I mean, she is gonna see Cheryl later at the dance.
The entrance bell jingled and Betty saw 3 guys and 1 girl. It was Veronica, Jughead, and 2 other guys. The other guy was a redhead and the other one seemed gay.
They didn't notice Betty and they sat beside Betty's counter. Pop Tate came with a hamburger and a vanilla milkshake. "How do you know vanilla's my favorite?" Betty asked. "Your mother told me once, you're definitely a vanilla girl." Pop Tate said and went to the other counter.

Betty was quickly exploring her neighborhood. The neighborhood is a cliche perfect neighborhood. When Betty was on her way to her house, she saw Cheryl on their patio.
"Cheryl? What are you doing here?" Betty asked. "Were going to the dance!" Cheryl said excitingly. Betty opened the door and immediately went upstairs.
"I have this dress and it's going to perfectly suit you." Cheryl hanged the pink dress in Betty's closet. "How do you know my size, and also how do you know my address?" Betty asked.
"Well, I may have checked your files. That's why I wasn't in lunch, or in school. I basically skipped school. I'm sorry!" Cheryl apologized. "And also, I just guessed your size." Cheryl and Betty chuckled.
Cheryl proceeded to get her makeup bag and started to make up Betty. After a few minuted, Betty was looking like a goddess. Well, both of them to be fair. They wore their dresses.
"We look absolutely-" Betty said, "gorgeous." Cheryl finished Betty's sentence. "So, who's your date?" Betty asked Cheryl curiously. "Archie Andrews, he's your neighbor." Cheryl smiled, "Come on! Let's go!" Cheryl grabbed Betty's wrist and went outside.
Cheryl and Betty knocked on the Andrews' door. They faced this hot redhead. I'm neighbors with a hot guy? Great! But why didn't Cheryl go with a date with the other redhead at Pop's?
"Betty, meet Archie. Archie, meet Betty." Betty and Archie shook hands. Archie started the engine and went to the dance.

"So, Betty. Your single right?" Archie asked unexpectedly. Betty was shocked, "Your asking me out aren't you?" Betty responded. "No, god no! I just have this friend who doesn't have a date. I mean either of you have a date." Archie chuckled.
"Hey, that was rude Andrews." Cheryl bumped Archie. "Sorry!" Archie raised his hands. "There he is. Reggie Mantle." Archie pointed out. "Well, what are you waiting for Betty? Go! We'll just be in the dance floor." Cheryl smiled.
Both of them went to the dance floor, leaving Betty alone. Suddenly, Betty felt eyes on her. It wasn't Reggie though. Betty ignored it and went to Reggie.
When she was about to go to Reggie, a woman went to him and they linked their arms together. God damnit Andrews. She again ignored them and went to get some punch.
"Nice to see you again, blondie." Betty jumped and faced the same guy at the library. "Jughead, please don't scare people like that." Betty said while drinking her punch.
"Sorry." Jughead apologized and also went to get some punch. "Where's your date?" Betty suddenly asked. Stupid stupid stu- "Got stood up." His voice suddenly changed.
"Oh, sorry for asking." Betty responded. "How about you?" Jughead asked. "I don't have one, Archie said Reggie didn't have a date but actually he has one." Betty chuckled.
"Fuck Andrews, come on let's go." Jughead grabbed Betty's hand and left the gymnasium. "Where are we going? Cheryl is probably gonna be worried about me." Suddenly, Jughead stopped in front of the school. He saw a tree and sat down.
Jughead patted the floor beside him, Betty sat down and rested at the tree. "This is gonna be quick, I promise." Jughead said.
"You know, your different than Veronica." Jughead stroked Betty's hair. Their lips were about to touch when Betty heard a voice screaming her name.
"Betty! I can see you! Come on let's go!" Cheryl screamed. Betty smiled, waved at Jughead and went to Cheryl. Jughead's day got a little more interesting.
