I walked into school the next day and run to find Mindy. I had to tell to her because one she is my only friend and two she is the only one that understood me. Finally I found her at her locker so I screamed out her name and she directly looks back. Once I caught my breath, I said,” We need to talk like urgently.”
She said,” Why, what’s wrong?”
At that point, the bell rung so I said while running,” Meet me afterschool.”
I finally reach Biology and we have a substitute, Ms. Vodauire. We have had her before for a substitute and she has to be the meanest teacher you could ever have. Supposedly, she used to teach in the late 80’s and has been teaching since. There’s rumors that she hit a kid and he knocked out a tooth and bled so much he had to go to the hospital. He ended up having a concussion. I see that there’s one seat at the back and one at the front. I ran to the back, where I usually sat, before she took attendance.
In the back, there’s usually all the jocks and their girlfriends which people call “The Pearls.” They call them that because they are so perfect, so perfect that they look like Barbies. One of them sat behind me and tapped me on the shoulder and said,” Hey, are you new?”
I said to myself, “See what I mean.” I responded, "No, I’ve been here since ninth grade.”
She said, “Well, I have never seen you, but you are really pretty, why don’t come to my house with us afterschool?”
“Ummm… like I have stuff,” I mumbled.
“I will take that has a yes, meet us at the fence by the field.”
Now , this means I have to ditch Mindy for the Pearls. I have to come up with an excuse because they never talk to anyone like me. It’s the end of the day and I see Mindy, she says, “So what’s wrong?”
I responded,” Nothing I got to go.”
I ran to the fence where I am supposed to meet the Pearls. They were there and said to get in the car, so I did. We get to Chloe's house, the main Pearl, and it was huge. We get inside and they all scream, ”Let’sdo makeovers!” I stayed quiet and nodded. They said that I had to go first and at the end I looked like one of the Pearls. I told them that I had to go, because I have to be home before six. Before I left, they said to sit with them in lunch tomorrow.
