"Captain's log entry 2354:Mission day 75+
We finally entered the field occurring the "astragalus" anomaly!
So far, all we found was empty space. I was always skeptical about this theory and I am still very sure it is a hoax. Our mission is a wild goose chase..."

"Cap...? you are needed on deck! Eve registers an extensive field of asteroids and oh my god!"

If midnight came there, only a pile of destruction was left! And l knew people had no way out!  What happened to the them silently during last night's holocost? The land, was desolate the morning that I had arrived !  Where once, the green hills and water thrived, now all of it was gone. All that was left, were particles dirt and dust. Just as the demise of this  landscape looked, as earth had collided indeed with asteroids and the Earth I knew, did not exist! As I tried to make semblance of this experience, as my extinct of wandering began.  The thousands of thoughts running around, inside my brain since Eve I had been beamed down from the fleet to walk into a massive, demolished world!

And my wondering of what had happened to everyone, was left up to me to find out! The Starships captain was awaiting my call! I was the co- captain, sent by superior, to witness the demolition of earth! I was told of unwarranted asteroids that had just instantly formed in the atmosphere! Heading straight to our base! Was this just asteroids? And I wondered if everything was like this now? Was anyone alive? I knew after seeing all of this, that if I were to find another alive, it would be a miracle! I and my men, were the only wandering souls!

I began going through the debris, and suddenly I just let out a loud scream, first, to see if anyone was alive, but secondly, because I never thought I would see anything like this! The only sound that returned, for me to hear, were the rustling of winds. Nothing and no one appeared! The noises I heard were those old, brown brushes blowing about the ground! No one was alive, out in this field!

The sounds the bushes made, were a high pitch whining sound. The had been brushing against the devastation, and the noise I heard, had nothing to do with other people! Nobody was here! The winds brushed up against military tanks, that our men tried to use. And they tried to get to the tanks as soon as the asteroids entered our atmosphere! Our people did not have a chance against this massive wall! They were vanquished instantly! But was it just asteroids? I kept asking myself? Or was there more to this!

The equipment was just left standing, as a sign of the massiveness of this attack and the destruction, this was a given! Our men on earth were killed instantly by this darkness. They never knew what had hit them. But at least, they didn't suffer, I kept repeating to myself! But I don't think that is all that came with this wall? If fact, I believe alien forces were in the middle of the the asteroids! I soon, would call the captain and tell him my theory!

As I came out from under the debris, the homes I knew, were barely standing. There was nothing left, just parts of there walls, with broken slivers of glass, and rocks all around!

My stomach churned, as I looked around and I was becoming so sick! I could not fight back the urgency to vomit! And I did just that, and I continued vomit until I had fits of dry heaves. My weakened body, was in despair. This sick feeling that I had, overtook me and was not about to let me go. Then I looked down and unexpectedly I saw them there! The dead! Bodies, crushed and bloody, unrecognizable to mine eyes! I had hoped, not to be the only one in the field to have found all of these bodies. But, there they were, eyes fixed, and pupils dilated. The sign of death. Rigorous, without movement. Stuck in an awkward, horrible position of a picture that would always remain with me inside my mind! After witnessing this, the churning of my stomach started to roar and again, I started to wretch in sickness. I found a lone chair and took a seat, putting my head between my legs. Trying hard, to keep myself from blackening out!
