1 month and 8 days until winter formal; jinyoung's birthday.

(a.n: i know jinyoung's bday is in may haha let's just pretend it's sometime in october woo)

-

"ready?" jihoon asked from the front door.

"wait, i need my jacket. this is the bowling alley right?"

"yeah. why, you suck?" jihoon grinned.

"no, i just wanna know if i should sneakers or not, gee," jiyoung snatched her jacket from her brother's bedroom. they were the same size, but he was 24 years old and working as a biologist. he was still very young at heart and wore very similar clothes to his younger sister jiyoung due to her streetwear, tomboy-ish look.

"oh, hello jihoon! sorry, i'm jiyoung's mother," jiyoung's mom came running down the stairs and greeted jihoon.

"jiyoung always complained about having no friends, but i didn't know it was to the extent she had to ask you for a ride since she didn't know anyone else at the party! gosh," jiyoung's mother joked around, causing jihoon to laugh at jiyoung.

"mom! it's not like that, i just-"

"ai, go, go along. be back by 10 and text me! keep your phone on!" jiyoung's mother pushed her out of the house and waved goodbye to jihoon.

"your mom's so chill, wow," jihoon walked over to his new range rover. jihoon just got a new car from earning his driver's license.

"say that to yourself. i have my license, but she doesn't trust me with the family lexus. she doesn't even trust me with the go-karts at the amusement park," jiyoung scoffed.

jihoon laughed again and started the car.

"still can't believe jinyoung had the audacity to invite me after he started dating jeongha," jiyoung exclaimed with a low tone.

"i mean, you guys were pretty close last year. it would be rude not to. he just never got the hint you liked him. so he probably doesn't care if you care about his relationships or not," jihoon looked around the road and entered in the GPS the address of the bowling alley.

"anyways, what did you get him?" jiyoung wondered, changing the topic.

"a league of legends play card. he needs it, i know it."

"what about you?" jihoon asked back, slightly glancing at jiyoung who had a cold face.

"a kumamon plush. he said he liked kumamon, so why not, i guess?" jiyoung shrugged, staring out onto the concrete road.

"at least you didn't get him a shinsegae gift card or something. it'll give him some sort of hint you still care about him," jihoon tried to cheer up jiyoung.

jiyoung just sighed and went back on her phone, scrolling through jeongha's kakao profile. what was so good about her anyways?

as much as jiyoung wanted to exterminate jinyoung out of her mind, jihoon knew it would never happen. jihoon tried his best to help her get over it, but it never really worked out. whenever they talked, she would always reference something to jinyoung.

when jihoon took her to caffe bene to study one day, she stared at the kim soohyun life size stand in front of the restaurant.

"jinyoung liked kim soohyun, you know. he would always be like, no homo," she laughed at the remark, remembering him.
