2 weeks until winter formal

"saeri!!" jiyoung shouted from across the campus. she had just finished ballet class.

"hey, where's sewoon?" jiyoung nudged.

"shut up, let's just get some lunch," she grabbed jiyoung by the wrist to the lunch tables.

saeri pulled out a cup of boba (a.n: bubble tea, tapioca, idk what yall call it lmao) out of the side of her dance bag, silently taking a sip.

"what even?? where'd you get that??" jiyoung worried.

"sewoon- i mean, where does it look like i got it from?" saeri pointed to the logo outside of the cold plastic cup.

jiyoung started wooing again and nudging, making sure she was in front of sewoon's clique.

"and then, you're gonna divide the equation by cos and graph it on the graph using the intercepts instead of changing it to slope form to find the intersecting triangle," jiyoung appointed to jihoon as they face-timed each other. it was always a habit for them to stress about school even more after school. jiyoung is probably the only girl jihoon talks to anyways, so it didn't do him much harm to talk and hang out with jiyoung so much.

"does it look like... this??" jihoon sounded like a preschool learning how to add. he held up a poorly drawn graph that would most likely be marked off on the exam because their teacher was so strict.

"uhh... yeah!" jiyoung nervously replied.

jihoon laughed, knowing jiyoung was probably joking.

"i got it, i got it, i know i'm wrong."

they continued to facetime until sunset, when jihoon would have to leave for math classes and jiyoung had to leave for volleyball practice.

1 week and 5 days until winter formal

"saeri!!" jiyoung laughed from across the halls.

"w-wh-what??? who??"

"come here, oh my gosh," she remarked as she ran to the courtyard.

"ok, what?" saeri panted.

jiyoung immediately grabbed her wrist and pulled her hoodie sleeve back, revealing a metal bracelet with a golden heart charm hanging from it.

"i-i"

"AWWWWW SEWOON'S SO SWEET!!" jiyoung cried loud enough for people to hear in the courtyard.

a couple of heads turned, while saeri flinched and hoped sewoon wasn't around.

"can we like, not talk about this?" saeri nudged, directing at jinyoung who was walking into the cafeteria.

"why do you care?" jiyoung questioned.

"eh, good point," saeri nodded and rolled up her sleeve. she remembered when jiyoung had a mad crush on him and whenever he was just a kilometer in distance away, she would fluster. saeri got so used to her comments about jinyoung, she would always get heart-pumping when jinyoung came around because she knew jiyoung would be around somewhere.

"it's over, saeri," she laughed sarcastically.

"it's over. no more jinyoung. only me."
