The minute the police showed up at Sunshine Studios, they began questioning our classmates, asking them what they know about the producer who killed himself.

"I don't know," wept a girl with French braids.

"All we did was wait-"

"-for Mr. Vixen to answer the intercom box," a jock finish.

"No one answered, the next thing we saw is-"

"-Mace Sansters," Madison shuddered, "killing himself."

As the police decide to interview Ben for his perspective, he only shrug his shoulders.

"We didn't expect him to jump off the roof like that," he says sternly.

"Where were you at the scene of the crime?" a cop ask.

"He was with the rest of the class," I explain.

"So was I."

"Are you two lovers?" the cop ask.

We looked at each other for a moment, then back at him.

"What does our relationship have to do with the investigation?" Ben ask.

"Following procedure-"

"You think we're the ones who encouraged him to kill himself?" I snort.

"Are you serious?"

The cop removed his cap, then scratched his head.

He had sandy brown hair, blue eyes, and slightly pale skin.

His navy blue police uniform fits him perfectly, as his hands are tucked away in his pockets.

"That's not what I meant," he sighs.

"I know your reputation with police investigations,  solving cases ranging from homicides to terrorist bombings."

The cop then peered at me and at Ben, whose stares penetrates his brain.

"The shocking part is, you're both sixteen-"

"Seventeen," I corrected.

The officer's eyes widen in reaction.

"I did not know that," he murmured.

"Let me guess," Ben began. "You're new here; you probably worked with the San Francisco Police for about a month."

"What you mean?"

I give my boyfriend a goofy look, before answering his question.

"Most police officers have stains or scratches on their badges," I pointed out.

"However, newbies don't. You seem like you iron your uniform twice a day, judging by the marks on your pant legs."

"Anyway," Ben continued.

"Have you guys went through his room? Find anything strange?"

The policeman nodded, but before we walked to the studios, he blocked our path.

"What?" I ask, confused.

"Can't have you contaminate the crime scene." he insist.

"We don't have germs." Ben stated.

The look on the policeman's face replies that he doesn't care.

"Alright, fine." I groan. "We'll stay away from the case."

Officer Tight Pants then darts his blue eyes back at me.

It was casual, but direct.

"The last time I checked," he chuckle. "You never take no for an answer."
