chapter 9

Normal pov

They rushed Itachi to the hospital with him coughing the whole way. "Naruto. Love. You know what you need to do. Our babies need a father. Give them one." Itachi said in a quiet voice. Naruto was crying and his kids were at home crying as well. They knew there father wouldn't make it. They were hoping by some miracle that he did. But luck was never on there side.

Sasuke ran to get the hokage for help as Sakura pushed Itachi into a room and shooed everyone out while she got to work trying to help Itachi.

Naruto was crying in the hallway as Sakura was working on Itachi. "Where is he?!" Tsunade yelled. "Over here Granny." Naruto called out in a weak voice. Kakashi head arrived as well with the rest of rookie 9. "Naruto why don't you go and take a rest somewhere with your friends. I'll call you when he is better." Kakashi said but Naruto shook his head no. "I'm staying here. What if he wakes up and doesn't make it? I want to be here to say goodbye." Naruto said quietly. "You say that as if you know he won't make it." Lady Tsunade said. "I'll do everything I can." She continued.

"Sasuke." Naruto called out. Itachi had told him that Sasuke has feelings for him. He wasn't as dumb as people kept saying he was. "Yes?" He asked catching team Naruto's attention. By now Kakashi had left to do some work or so he claimed. "Can you sit with me?" Naruto whispered. Sasuke nodded. On the inside Sasuke was jumping with joy but outside he was calm. Team Naruto knew about Sasuke's crush on him because bc over day they forced it out of him as to why he was so dead set on finding the blonde. Hinata also still had her crush on him but she knew Sasuke's feelings ran deeper than hers.

"Think he'll make it?" Kiba asked Neji who rolled his eyes while Tenten punched him. "Oww what was that for?" Kiba asked rubbing his arm which now has a bruise. "Be a little more sympathetic will you?!" Neji said quietly. "It's okay guys. He's curious. Curiosity never hurt anyone. Itachi used to say. And I don't think he will. He's been like this for a long time now. I guess it's time..." Naruto said before crying once again into Sasuke's shirt. "I'm going to have to fulfill his last wishes. I just don't know how to do that." Naruto said. "The kids also know but I don't know how I'm going to do this." Naruto said which was muffled by Sasuke's shirt.

"Sorry Sasuke I ruined your shirt." Naruto said again. "It's fine dope. So my brother. He really won't make it?" Sasuke asked tears in his eyes as well. "I don't think so. If he does it's a miracle and we have to thank Sakura and Granny for it." Naruto said. Sasuke nodded looking down tears finally falling. "It's okay Sasuke I'm here for you if you need me." Naruto said rubbing Sasuke's back as he broke down sobbing. Even with Naruto sitting next to him he cried. He couldn't hold in the tears anymore. He was losing his big brother. He was always jealous  him but now that he was going to lose him forever he was falling apart. "I'm sorry Itachi. I'm so sorry." Sasuke whispered in which Naruto responded. "He knows about your secret. You can't hide anything from him. I know too. It's okay." Sasuke looked up shocked and scared. Naruto smiled back at him a sad smiled. "It'll be fine." He said again.
