I woke up at 6:30 and went to go have a shower. After getting changed, I brushed through my blonde hair and put it into a messy bun on top of my head.
I waited for Anna to finish getting ready before walking to breakfast with her and the boys who were waiting for us in the common room.
Once we got to the Great Hall, I piled some scrambled eggs and bacon onto my plate before starting to eat them.
Professor McGonagall came around with all of our timetables and I was very happy that I got the same classes as my friends. "We have charms and transfiguration first" said Tyler happily. I was excited for transfiguration because from what I have heard, its the best subject ever.
I read all of the books before coming here and it definatly looks like the best subject!
=======================================
Charms class started by the teacher calling the role and we listened to him as he explained his rules and expectations.
He got us started on a simple charm, the levitation charm. All around were the shouts of 'Wingardium Leviosa'.
After 6 failed attempts at the charm, my feather started to slowly rise up from the desk and up into the air. Watching, professor yelled out "Well done miss Hope, 10 points to Hufflepuff!"
People turned their heads to get a look at my flying feather making me blush and hide behind my desk.
The next person to master the spell was a girl called Lily Evans, followed shortly by Finn. I continued to practice the spell throughout the rest of the lesson as the time ticked by.
"And for homework, you will practice that spell" said the teacher as all the students filed out of the classroom noisly. "Hey Tayla" I heard Remus from behind me.
"Hey Remus, where are you going for class next?" "I have transfiguration" Remus answers my question. "Same" I say back. "Remus, these are my new friends, Anna, Finn and Tyler, Guys, meet Remus my friend..." I am about to finish my sentence when a voice interrupts me. " and us, her friends to".
I see Sirius, James and Peter emerge from the crowd of students. "You too" I mumble under my breath.
As we made our way to transfiguration, James and Sirius were being loud as usual and drawing a lot of attention to us as we walked down the hall to the classroom. I was joking around with Anna and we were laughing together, not looking where we were going causing me to accidentally walk into someone and drop all my stuff.
Picking them up I muttered an apology before looking up at who I had hit and retracting slightly.
Just my luck. I had bumped into a group of Slytherins that were glaring daggers at me. Before anyone could say a word, a teacher came down the hall and told them to go to class, but as they walked past me they mutter "Watch your back idiot" so only I could hear.
I finished collecting my things with the help of my friends and we walked all the way to the classroom, I walked in complete silence, lost in thought at what that guy could have meant. The words echoed around my brain, I had only bumped into him by accident and it wasn't like he got hurt or anything.
We made our way into the classroom and I sat right at the front, eager to start the lesson, the incident from before pushed to the back of my mind.
Professor McGonagall walked into the room, greeting us as she did before walking up to the front of the classroom and beginning to talk about transfiguration.
Writing notes down vigorously, I absorbed all the new information like a sponge. I noticed I was one of the only ones that looked excited about this class.
"Does anyone want to have a go at turning a Quill into a muggle pen? How about you miss Hope."
The class turned to look at her and she looked down at the quill in front of her. "Remember what I said to do". Tayla knew that Professor McGonagall chose her because the Professor had seen her do this spell before with ease but Tayla was scared that she would mess it up and have the whole class laugh at her.
She noticed her friends give her encouraging smiles before she took a breath and whispered the spell. The quill changed with no hesitation and sitting on her desk she saw the muggle pen.
The whole class seemed in a mixture of shock and awe as she breathed a sigh of relief.
Professor McGonagall awarded her 10 Points and went back to teaching the class. Tayla quickly muttered the counter spell under her breath and hoped nobody was watching.
A shocked Sirius Black turned back around after seeing Tayla mutter the counterspell and turn it back, knowing that that was pretty advanced magic to start off with. As the lesson went on, he got more and more curious about the girl sitting on the other side of the classroom.
