NaOH/NH3:
Iron 2 ion- Fe²+ reacts with sodium hydroxide to produce a greenish precipitate.
The bluish/greenish stuffs on the face and neck is supposed to be like rust or something :>
As you can see already, iron 2 is insoluble in excess NaOH. Btw, it gives the same reaction when our fairy godmother NH3 is added to them as well :)
Iron 2 ion works the same way so I'm gonna just show you the design for iron 2:)
Iron 2 ion reacts with either NaOH or NH3 to produce reddish brown precipitate in a few drops and is insoluble in excess.Technically when I first had the idea to doodle characters for my cations, I started with the Iron ions first, so it's no secret that Iron 2 and Iron 3 are my favourite ions :3 character design wise. I showed my classmate (an amazing doodler) my cations and she drew them in return!!
Here's my classmate's amazing fanart of my cations-
Yes she made them incredibly hot-and into guys..
I drew them thinking they were girls but after I showed another friend--- he also drew them as guys- this time with headphones-
So anyway I redrew my iron ions this time making their genders clear- I hope
Iron 2 the guy and Iron 3 the girl, or his girlfriend to be exact :3
Here's another one but I'm not really proud of it cause the proportions are weird but well look at it if you don't mind cancer HAHAH
Anyway to conclude- iron 2 and iron 3 ions both form precipitate in a few drops of NaOH/NH3 and is insoluble in excess :)
