Falling for the Northsider (Archie Andrews)

You're a Southside Serpent and Archie's a Northsider. You have just transferred to Riverdale High along with a few other Serpents. Northsiders and Serpents have always hated each other and the situation hasn't changed much.

You walk into school along with Jughead, your best friend when you pass Reggie Mantel, always the troublemaker. He shoves into you hard and you stagger a few steps backward. You glare at him.

"What the hell was that for?" Jughead growls.
"Southside scum doesn't belong here. Go back to the dump you came from," Reggie says, a smirk on his face.
Jughead tenses beside you and he moves forward to hit Reggie. You look around and notice that a few people have gathered around."Jug, stop." You say, placing your hand on his shoulder.
You move forward and swing your arm towards Reggie's face, and your fist makes contact with his face with a satisfying crunch.

When you take your hand back,you register the shock on Reggie's face along with a bloody nose. Reggie regains his composure and takes a step forward but someone moves between both of you. Archie.

He places a restraining arm on Reggie's chest. "Guys ,stop," he says looking at both of you. You turn to see Jughead controlling his laughter. You shrug and walk away. You can hear Reggie yelling behind you.

During class, your phone beeps with a notification. It's a message from an unknown number.
Meet me in Pop's after class-Archie

You wonder how Archie even had your number in the first place. You question  whether you should go or not but then you decide to go since Jughead already had plans with Betty that evening.

Then a voice booms on the speaker in class interrupting your thoughts.
"Y/F/N please report to the principal's office immediately."

You internally groan.

You walk into Pop's and spot a familiar redhead sitting in a table in the corner. You're pretty late. You walk towards Archie and slide into your seat. Archie looks at you expectantly. You sigh. "Sorry I'm late, Principal Weatherbee held me up."

He smiles and looks at you with an expression you can't place. "Pretty impressive punch you threw back in school," he says.

You smile back. "Definitely worth the one week of detention I've earned."

"Well, Reggie had it coming for a long time now. Sorry if you're not really feeling  welcome at Riverdale High," he says.
"I never fit in anyways," you mumble more to yourself than to him. Then you look up. "How do you even have my number?"
Archie turns a slight shade of pink and you control the urge to laugh at his cuteness. "I, um I asked Betty," he says running his hand through his hair.
"What do you want to order?" You question him rescuing him from the awkwardness.

The both of you talk and lose track of the time. You look through the window and find it darkening outside. "Well, I should get going," you say. "I'll walk you out," Archie replies standing up and enveloping your hand in his before you can say anything more . You walk out and he doesn't let go of your hand. You turn to face him.

"Hey, why did you even invite me to Pop's?" You question. He looks into your eyes.
"I wanted to make amends for what Reggie said and you caught my eye as soon as you stepped into Riverdale High," he answers.

"Caught your eye?" You ask,laughing lightly.
"Hard to ignore a beautiful girl like you," he replies,winking. You can usually handle flirting but this takes you by surprise and you hope you aren't blushing. Archie wraps his arm around your waist. He pulls you closer and you can feel the warmth from his body. You close your eyes and his lips meet yours, slowly at first. Your hands tangle in that soft red hair and you kiss him fiercely. The moment is interrupted by Jughead who yells "Get a room both of you!" Betty whose arm is linked with Jughead's glares at him.

You and Archie come up for air and his face is flushed with colour. That was an amazing kiss and all you want to do is kiss him more. He gives you a grin which makes your heart melt. Entwining your fingers with his, Archie and you walk towards Jughead and Betty.
