It was a typical Saturday morning , I came home from hospital on Wednesday , my friends were really supportive and it was good to have them back , everyone seemed really busy today due to the fact that Niall's distant family were coming to visit him , Haanim had a hockey tournament , Lauren was with Luke and well Rachel has been ....quiet . I still wondered what she was hiding , I tried calling her but it goes straight to voice mail and she doesn't reply to any of my texts . Charlie sat on his little bed and looked at me with his blue eyes , I have this thing for blue eyes , I find it ironic since my boyfriend has the same colour eyes but then again maybe not , my mind was buzzing with questions about Rachel , what is she hiding? I couldn't stand it back longer , I grabbed my phone and put on my hoodie and walked to Rachel's house , as I walked up the little path I knocked on the door , a heard foot steps and then the door swung open , a stressed Rachel appeared in front of me , her eyes widened when she saw me , "Beth? What the hell are you doing here?!" she snapped , I dropped my jaw , Rachel had never been this mean and had ignored me too , "I came to see you because that's what friends do" I snapped back and turned away , she came running in front of me , "no , please , Beth , I'm sorry , please don't go , there's something I need to tell you" she said , I tilted my head , so there is something , I nodded , we walked into Rachel's house , we somehow ended up in the kitchen , "want some hot chocolate?" she asked , "yes please" I said , after she made the two mugs of the sweet beverage , she popped two large marshmallows in each mug , "thanks" I said , I wrapped my hand around the mug to get the heat , she smiled , "pleasure" , we sat in awkward silence for a few minutes , sipping our hot chocolates , "Beth I need to tell you something but you cannot tell anyone please , I have known you and the Nina the longest so I though it's best if I told you since Nina left" she spoke softly , I scooted closer , "it's okay Rachel , you have my word" I said , she sighed deeply and shut her eyes , "I think I'm pregnant"
My jaw dropped , I barely could talk , Rachel , pregnant? No that can't be , she's only 17! (A/N PRETEND PEOPLE) , "so you think , how?" I was dumbfounded , but this my reaction to finding out one of best friends could be pregnant , "I missed my period , I was late for a few days , it turned into weeks then months , I also vomit a lot" she said , tears slipped out her eyes , "I'm such a terrible person , I can't handle a baby and oh my God , Finn! What is he going to think?!" she spoke fast , I pulled her into a hug , she started to cry , "it's okay , you have me and I'm going to stick by you , I promise" I said , she wiped her tears away , "really?" she choked , I nodded , she gave me hug , I suddenly remembered something , "Rachel , why don't you take a pregnancy test to be sure" I said , she nodded , "yeah , let's go to a drug store and go get one , I wanna be sure" she said and grabbed a hoodie and her car keys , we both got in Rachel's car and drove to the nearest drug store , we entered and she went to search for a test , I just stood there , waiting . She came back with a test in her hand , "I'm gonna pay for it" she said , I nodded , after that was sorted , we went back to the house , Rachel's breathing became shaky and increased rapidly , her hand started to twitch , I flashed a smile and she gave a half smile and walked into the bathroom , waiting on those results were probably the most intense minutes of my life , a few minutes passed then the door swung open , Rachel dumped the stick in my hand and ran to her , I think , room . I glanced at the test in my hands .
"POSITIVE"
I ran upstairs to her room , I heard loud sobing , I knocked and asked for her to come out , she did , her face was red and her eyes were bloodshot , I gave her hug , I don't know what to say but what do you do in these situations? I'm not going to said it's okay because it's not , one of my best friends are going to have a baby in the next few months , "I'm going to have to tell Finn soon and everyone else" she whispered , "and I'll be right here to support you , I promised you something , I keep my promises" she hugged me again and whispered thank you . I had to leave soon afterwards , I told Rachel to call me if there was an issue or if she needed my help , I walked home to see Niall on the porch , I smiled and ran to hug him , he laughed and picked me up and spun me around , "missed me huh?" he joked , "yup" I said and kissed his cheek , "you missed" he said and kissed my lips , we pulled away and smiled at each other , he entwined our hands together , "so what brings Nialler here?" I said , "well tomorrow the family is back again and I was wondering if you would like to come as my extremely beautiful date" he said with a cheeky grin , "I would love to , apparently it's a big thing to meet the boyfriend's family" I chuckled , he laughed , "sure is" he said and pecked my lips , we just talked for a bit before I said we should go inside , we decided to have a movie night , I made some popcorn and got some movies out , we decided to watch "The Hunger Games" I laid my head so his shoulder and he wrapped his arm around me , the warm , fuzzy blanket was draped around us , my phone starting to ring , Rachel . I stood up and went to my room and locked the door , Niall cannot know , I swore not to tell anyone . I picked up the phone .
Beth : "Hello?"
Rachel : "Hi Beth , I told my parents about the whole pregnancy thing and they said I either needed to abort my baby or give to up for adoption"
Beth : "Oh my God , please don't tell me you are planning on killing an innocent child , Rachel!"
Rachel : "No! I'm not doing either , I'm keeping this child because he or she is my baby"
Beth : "That's a relief , so what's the plan?"
Rachel : "I'll tell Finn tomorrow"
Beth : "Okay and the rest?"
Rachel : "Everyone will find out that they are going to aunts and uncles"
Beth : "okay good , I gotta go , Niall's here and is probably wondering where I am since I'm hiding in my bedroom to talk to you"
Rachel : "lol , okay bye Beth"
Beth : "bye Rachel or should I say Mommy?"
She laughed and said bye again and hung up , I joined Niall again who was so sucked into the movie , didn't even realise I left! We snuggled and I fell asleep soon afterwards .
