Explanation of why that one ear is somewhat shorter, curves down more, and has a cut: In his backstory (which I haven't had time to write yet), his enemy slashes his ear open when he's a human, and upon reincarnating as a demon, his ear is permanently messed up.
If highschool and life ever give me a decent break, I might write out his backstory.
