I never thought I would die this young, nor did I ever thought I would in this way.
The cold cement felt as if I were stepping on a few hundred of those colored pushpins, all of them slowly impaling every millimeter of my small foot, but I couldn't care less. My high heels in my left, sweaty hand, repeatedly hitting the side of my thigh every time I took a step, causing my thigh to become red with another few hundred scratches. My skirt was too short to block my heels. Stop swinging my arm you said? I couldn't. I just closed my eyes, and slightly smiled.
Who knows where I am heading. I don't know. The world seemed as if it stayed still and quiet, just for me for once. I could sense the air of the warm night on my shoulders, and the air lifted all burdens.
Then came something that I wasn't really expecting: the curb. My weak knees buckled underneath me and the air above my shoulders disappeared along with the shoes in my left hand, and the few hundred pins became hundred times pointier. The last thing I remember is reminding myself to get back up, and something hitting my head.
"Is she breathing?! Is she breathing?!"
"I don't know, Luke!! Quiet!!"
I wanted to tell the voices to shut up. I felt something touch my hand, then my wrist, and I wanted to pull it away, but I just couldn't find the strength to. My head began to throb and my ears were ringing. I moaned as I tried moving my neck.
"Seriously?!" I covered my ears as one of the voices yelled.
"Ssshh!! She's awake."
I tried sitting up and a hand was on my back before I could get an inch off of the ground.
"Careful.." the one holding my back said. I shrugged his hand off.
I opened my eyes to a less busy Sunset Boulevard.
The dark cement matches the color of the night sky. I searched for stars in the night as I regained my sight, but none seemed to show. I searched for my shoes and this emerald-eyed boy handed them to me. He stared at me as if I were an newly discovered animal in a cage at a zoo.
"Excuse me" I said staring back and getting up slowly. The green-eyed boy stood up at the same rate as me, watching me intently. He looked strangely familiar. I started to walk away, trying to remember how to get back.
"No" green eyes firmly said.
I turned around too quickly that I almost lost balance, "what do you want?"
"Come with me," he demanded.
"No," I scoffed and kept walking.
I heard foot steps of one of them coming quickly behind me and a hand sneaking in mine and I had no strength to fight it. "Come with me. Luke, text Toby to open the door for us. Help me make sure she stays awake."
Awake? I realized my eyes were half shut and I did feel tired. What time was it?
I turned too quickly again and before I knew it I was almost on the ground again. Hands caught me before I hit the ground and was too weak to fight it. I felt arms reach under the back of knees and behind my back and before I knew it, I was in the air in his arms. This wasn't a loving or a caring embrace. He held me as far away as possible, but I couldn't help but lay my head on his chest. I didn't want to. I have never felt his weak before. I looked up and his jaw was tightened and his eye brows furrowed, his lips in a straight line. I felt my eyelids getting heavier and heavier.
"Look at me," he commanded again. With that same worried look his had on his face before, he exclaimed, "Are you high?!"
"You're the one kidnapping me," I said snugly.
