Awkward Sunday Dinner: part 1

Sam stared wide eyed as I told her every single detail of what happened.

"Wow!"
"I know right"
"Sooo are you guys official now!"
"I hope so!"

"Umm duh we are babe!" I spun around and Luke was standing their with a smirk. "Why you spilling my tea for?" He said grinning. He smelled like Appleton. Which means he is most definitely drunk.

"Are you drunk?"
He continued to smile at me while rubbing my ass. He was more touchy now that we were official.
"Luke stop it" I said pushing his hand away. Feigning ignorance.

"Ohh please, you love it" Sam rolled her eyes.

"Hey! That's my line!" Luke smirked, pulling me into his chest.

"Pipe it down lover boy!" Eathan said. Acting like their children. I swear they'll never grow up.
Luke just flipped him off.
"Lover boy huh?" I said while leaning in to Luke to give a quick peck.

"Eww you guys make me sick." Eathan exclaimed while eyeing us with disgust.

"Chill fam, expect to see more of this. And often!"

"Ugh I hate your love. It's annoying."

"What's up with you and your girl?" Luke asked

" not on good terms right now. I'll prob just break up with her. I can't deal with the drama." Eathan suddenly looked awkward. Something was bothering him.

"Are you hiding something dear brother?"

"I'm not hiding anything! Umm I should get home got that internship shit to go to tomorrow." He said warily. It was obvious that something was bothering him.

"Wait, your internship starts tomorrow?"

"Yup"

Our dad had forced us to apply to top law firms. It was so annoying. The last thing on my mind was wasting my last summer in an law firm. I didn't want to be a lawyer. To be honest I had no idea on what to study.

"Isn't yours tomorrow too dumb dumb? We're at the same place."

"Umm I didn't get an email so definitely not tomorrow"

"Shit! You didn't get an email! That probably means you didn't get into the program. Shit, dads gonna be angry."

"Not like I wanted that internship anyways. I applied to the museum this summer. Have an interview in a few days."

"Dads definitely gonnabe fuming now!" He said smiling widely. Obeviously happy that I was getting in trouble. I honestly didn't care. He cant force me to be a lawyer.

"Speak of the devil!" I whispered while dad approached us. "Hey daddy-o!"

"What's going on over here!" He said eyeing the four of us. He eyes landed on Lukes hand around my waist.

"So what's this.." He said pointing between Luke and I. "Are you two together now?"

"We kinda always been together" I said quietly.

"Why am I just hearing about this?"

"Well it wasn't really official until now."

"Please explain" he said eying Luke. My dad was not a man of many words but he definelty didn't seem happy about me and Luke being together.

"I really don't want to explain though." I said sarcastically.

"How about you explain over dinner? Tomorrow evening around 6?"

"Dad seriously!"

"Yes seriously." He said obviously not amused. This was gonna be one awkward Sunday dinner.

"I don't like being kept out of the loop. I heard both of you got internships!" He said, clapping us on the back. Shit, what internship did I get.

"I don't think I got one but Eathan definitely! Starts tomorrow!" I said in a rush, hoping that would keep the attention off of me.

Eathan picking up on my mood decided to help me out. "Yea, Samson & Samson sent me an email. I have orientation at 10am."

"That's great son! So what about about you Em?"
Shit. Shit. Shit. I need to tell him.

"Umm I got an intervieweiththemuseumonwednesday." I said in a rush, hoping he didn't hear me well.

"What?" Dad said obviously confused.

"What?" I mimicked trying to get him more confused.

"You said something about a museum?"

"I don't recall."

"I though we discussed that you would be interning at a law firm this summer? You have to send in application in 3 months for College and you need an internship like that on your application."

"Dad, I don't want to study Law." I said warily. I wanted to study something I'm fine art. Maybe even journalism or Creative Writing!

"Sweetheart, I don't understand. Since you were young you've been statimg that you wanted to go to law school. Is it Luke that's changing your mind!" He exclaimed angrily.

"Dad Luke isn't changing my mind. I've only said that about law school because I knew you wanted that for me. I want to study maybe journalism and creative writing. I love working on the school newspaper."

"We'll talk abou this later. You have to start applying for colleges soon." He glared at me. He was definetelt angry but I wasn't about to give in. Over my dead body am I studying law.

"Fine Dad, we'll talk about this later." He gave us all a nod and walked off.

"Well that wasn't awkward at all? Am I right?" Sam said obviously feeling the tension in the room skyrocket.

Honestly, I didn't want to be caught up in the politics of the Law. Law isn't bad itself it's just I don't want to study something I won't enjoy.

"We should get going, I'm tired." I said distractedly.

"Are you coming with me or Luke." Luke stared down at me obviously wanting me to go with him but I needed to clear my head. Too much shot happened on one night.

I leaned up to give him a quick peck but he pulled me to his body and deepened the kiss. Grabbing a handful of my ass.

"Well I gues that answers my question!" Eathan said

"Wait no I'm going home." The words came out jumbled as my lips were still pressed to Luke's.

I tried to wiggle my way out of his grip but damn my man was strong!
He bit my lip and sucked on my bottom lip then moved his delicious assault to my neck.

"You guys are honestly the most annoying!" Eathan exclaimed. "I'm leaving."
"Wait Wait Wait, I'm coming home with you!"
Luke continued his assault on my neck.  I gently pushed him away.

"Luke, behave I'm going home with Eathan. I'm emotionally tired I can't deal with drunk you right now."

He smirked at me then gave me a quick peck. "Fine, we'll hang out tomorrow though!"

"Ofcours boo boo, be prepared for that dinner tomorrow. My dad ain't going to be easy on you."

"But he knows me though..."

"Yea as Eathans friend and not his little girls boyfriend."

"You're kinda scaring me now." Luke said warily shifting from foot to foot. Eathan burst out laughing, doubling over like he was dying.

"Not cool bro, he's your BFF."

"Ahhh man, this should be interesting." Eathan said chuckling.

"I don't think this is funny at all!" Luke exclaimed. We all burst out laughing.
