Chapter Five: The Host Club Is Now Open For Business!
A few weeks later, the Host Club was officially opened for business. Girls from all grades came in and swooned over the roses and bright but calming light Tamaki suggested putting in. "See. Told you they'd love it."
"Except for her.", I whispered back, pointing towards the girl who was spitting out the petals, but instantly going back to happy once seeing Haninozuka-Senpai. Tamaki stood on the table and everyone turned towards him.
"Hello princesses. Welcome to the Host Club. As you know, we have many different types to chose from. Hikaru and Kaoru Hitachiin are going to be first years next year and they are the Mischievous Type. Mitsukuni Haninozuka-Senpai is a second year and he's the Boy Lolita. Takashi Morinozuka-Senpai is also a second year and he is the Strong Silent Type. Kyoya Ootori is a first year and he's the Cool Type, our Personal Princess Amani Onodera is also a first year and I am Tamaki Suoh, the Princely Type."
They bowed while I curtseyed. "Please enjoy." They all took their own tables while I walked around with a tray. "Hello Ladies, what could I interest you in? We have peppermint tea with homemade chocolate chip cookies that just got out the oven.", I asked. I poured the two peppermint tea and placed a plate of cookies down.
"You made these?!", one of them exclaimed and I smiled. "Yup! It's my mother's secret recipe, that has been past down for generations." The twins took one and bite off a piece before their eyes widening. "They're amazing." I smiled and bowed. "I'm glad you two think so. Now, please excuse me."
As I was walking away, Kaoru gripped onto my wrist, spinning me around to face him. "Could you make extra for me after we clean up?" I smiled and nodded. He let go and I made my way over to Hani's table. "Hello Haninozuka-Senpai, Morinozuka-Senpai. Would you like cake?"
Hani nodded happily while Mori shook his head slightly. I set down the cakes and poured the tea. "Ono-Chan! I told you to call me Hani-Senpai!", Hani pouted and I smiled. "I know, but I like saying your full last name.", I stated and his smiled widened. "Thank you Ono-Chan!", he yelled, jumping into me. I caught him and stumbled in a spin as the tray clattered to the floor.
I sighed and squeezed Hani before setting back on the couch as I cleaned up. Someone reached down for a broken piece of the tea pot and examined it. He began helping to pick them up. "Kyoya, you don't have to help. You have guests waiting for you.", I said and he tossed a glance over his shoulder before smiling back at me. "They'll be okay."
We took the broken glass and threw them away in the kitchen trash can. "Kyoya!", I said, gripping onto his hand before he could leave. "You're bleeding!" He looked down at the large(ish) cut across his hand. "Here, sit down."
"Where?", he asked and I gave him a look. "On the floor. Criss Cross Apple Sauce." He gave me a weird look but followed my instructions anyway. I grabbed the first aid and began to clean up his hand. "Your mother, Gigi Onodera is a nurse, correct?" I nodded as I wiped his hand down with the disinfecting cloth. "You do realize she works for my father's hospital."
That's....Ootori.... I looked up and blinked. "Oh." I wrapped his hand up tightly and then kissed it, making him blush lightly. "Sorry, I used to baby sit for money and anytime they get hurt, I kissed it to make it feel better.", I said, scratching my neck. "It's fine. Thank you for cleaning it up." He pushed himself off the floor and offered the other hand to me. I grabbed it and he lifted me of the floor with ease.
We walked out and were bombarded by Tamaki and his endless questions of what happened to Kyoya's hand.
I'm never gonna get tired of this place.
