Izzy's POV

-----------------

I calmed my breathing down and twisted the handle and swung the door open.  The rest of the guys were standing in the tiny hallway as we took in the person who was going to be living with us.  His features were sharp and well defined, his nose and jaw was harsh and his skin was evenly tanned.  His black hair was short and spiked up and he had piercing grey eyes.  Even under his black t-shirt you could tell he was muscular with his wide shoulders and strong biceps.  God he was really good looking.  He had a rucksack slung on one of his shoulders which I presumed contained his things.  He smiled uneasily at the five assassins who stood in the doorway.  He took a step towards me with a traditional play-boy smirk on his face as he reached out his hand to shake.

"Hey I'm Seb," his deep voiced rumbled as I stared dumbstruck at his outstretched hand.  His eyes glinted with curiousity and amusement at my situation.  I went to shake his hand politely then I froze remembering Blake and all the times we had together and here was this boy replacing him and it felt like I was betraying him.

"Isabelle," I said coolly, placing my hands on my hips and he raised his eyebrows at my refusal to shake his hand.  "You must be my new partner."  I took a threatening step closer to him so we were standing toe to toe on our porch.  I slipped the knife out of the waistband of my shorts and twirled it in my hand.  His grey eyes widened slightly at me brandishing the weapon but they didn't show any fear, only curiousity.  I swear to god if he was some sexist bastard who thought a girl wasn't tough enough...  "Just a quick warning, if you mess up I will use your intestines as spare rope,"  I hissed menacingly and I laughed inwardly at the suprise on his face as I spun round on my heels and stormed into the house.

Seb's POV

I stared at this little black haired, golden eyed killing machine.  She was tiny but as I looked at her closer I could see the well defined muscles in her arms and powerful legs.  Her complexion was pale and freckles were scattered over her nose and cheeks.  She looked quite sinister to be honest and she held herself proudly, almost coldly.  Her death threat hung in the air and I could hear the sincerity in her vicious voice as she propelled away from me and into the house.

"Hey," I said again to the four other dudes who were just standing there with their mouths hanging open slightly.  Finally one of them stepped forward and broke the silence that had settled since Isabelle's departure.

"Hey man, come in," he said warmly and I stepped through as they gestured for me to go through to what was their kitchen, even if it did have a knife sticking out the door.  "I'm Zach," said the guy who had broken the silence with a grin.  "This is Chase, Tony and Adam," he pointed at the other guys who all said their greetings.

"What's up with the fire cracker then?" I asked smirking but my face soon fell when I saw them all exchange worried glances.

"You should know that Izzy's really great.  She's just having a really tough time right now and lets just say, you coming here now isn't exactly helping," answered Chase but my curiousity was getting the better of me now.

"How come?"

"Her partner, Blake.  He died on a mission a couple of months ago.  Izz took it real hard, him being her partner and all, you know?  Blamed herself for his death and stuff.  They made her take time off for PTSD but she had no where to go so she stayed here," explained Adam quietly before letting out a breath and adding, "I'm gonna warn you in advance that she will hate you for a while 'cause you're replacing Blake but she'll warm up eventually."
