My eyes fluttered opened, when I felt the limo reach a brief halt. I pulled my earphones from my ears in wonder, two large black gates slowly opened, allowing us to keep going. We pulled in the front of a stunning victorian style mansion, there was a flat land infront of the mansion, it had flowers and puny bushes making a circle pattern. The mansion was built like a mini castle, grayish bricks layered the home, the front windows poked out like it was part of a hexagon. My mouth dropped in awe, when I realized that we were staying here. There must have been atleast twelve rooms inside.

We came to a complete stop, all of my vampire companions- and Troy, put their jackets on, and placed their hoodies on their heads. One by one, they got out of the car, cautious of the sun. I didn't move, I watched as they quickly walked to the front doors; I was preparing myself for what might be inside, more vampires I guessed. A pale figure opened one of the two doors, they all greeted the figure and walked in, Mia stopped at the door, she looked back at the limo, and waved me in with a smile. Her smile was too contagious, I scootched out of the limo and felt the cool air against my skin. The air was harsh, but the sun was still shinning, I've never felt this before. The warmth of the sun, the chill of the air, it was perfect. I could see the air from my mouth escape, I was entertained, so I did it a few more times before joining the others in the house.

The door was cracked, so I walked in hesitantly. I saw father and the others greeting themselves to a few other people, or vampires. I silently closed the door, and tried to walk next to James without being noticed. I looked down, avoiding the unwanted eye contact with these strangers, they continued their conversation on how each other was doing and how they've missed them over the decades. My eyes started to wander, this place was enormous, there was a chandeler hanging above us, with hundreds of crystals. A marble staircase that lead to corridors and rooms, lots of antiques.

But my curiosity eventually caught Troy's attention.

"I see that my home attracts you, Neri?" he smiled at me, everyone's eyes turned to me, don't you hate being the center of attention when you want to be invisible?

"Oh my, I'm so sorry. This is Neri, I'm sure I've told you all about her?" so he's told more people about me, well vampires. Their skin looked fragile, but they still had very little color to them, I took a wild guess and catagorized them as the American vampires. They were all very beautiful, their youth ranged them from the ages of seventeen and twenty one. But I was sure they were much older. One of them walked over to me with open arms,

"Neri? Why yes we have heard about you. Welcome to America," he dropped his arms and took my hand, I thought I should pull away, but these were our friends...well father's friends, "I'm Sabastian," he laid a soft kiss on my hand, I snatched my hand away from him, "how do you like it here so far?"

I didn't answer.

I was a little stunned, he was like an american Domonic, only nicer. "Neri, I'd like to introduce you to my children," there were five of them, "Sabastian has already had the pleasure in introducing himself, just ignore his childlike ways. These are my daughters," two gorgeous girls stepped forth, they looked like twins, but I could still tell them apart, "Victoria and Violet." They had wavy brown hair that fell to their shoulders, their eyes were hazel and large, and they were fairly tall with an hour glass shape that made me envious. One of them had a mole under their eye, so that might help me a little, "And these are my sons." three men stepped forward, "Remmy, Tyler, and you know Sabastian." they had lean bodies, just one of them was a little bulkier than the other two.

"Remmy." one greeted, he had dirty blonde hair like his father, he looked a lot like his father actually, I guessed he was the oldest son

"Tyler." he had sandy brown hair and a subtle look about him, Sabastian just nodded his head and smirked, he had dark brown hair, he had a very familiar way about him...Domonic.

I quickly dropped my head, hiding behind my hair, "Neri, why don't you speak? It's not polite." father questioned, I shrugged

"It's okay Alex, she'll have to come around to us eventually. You ARE going to be here awhile." this Troy really doesn't know me, I haven't 'come' around to the royal family until I was thirteen, I think I could handel a few months. Troy turned to his children, "Where's your mother?"

"The Yoshi family wanted to see the city, so Mother took them. Don't worry, she has one of the guards with her, but I highly doubt that there's going to be an attack." one of the daughters spoke

"Thank you Victoria." so the one with the mole was Victoria, she smiled, "Come, let me show you to your rooms, your bags will be up shortly." we all followed up up the stairs, and down the main corridor; this brought back so many memories. "Will there be anyone sharing rooms?"

"I think not." Domonic said

"I want my own room." James said quickly

"I'll have my own room." Tanya stated

"And you Neri? Mia?" Troy asked, I shrugged, I want to share with Mia

"I think we'll be sharing." Mia told, locking arms with me, I sighed, relieved that I wouldn't be sleeping by myself in this new place

"Okay, I'll show you to your room last."

One by one, they all were taken to their rooms, I only got a glance in the rooms, and it wasn't that big, but for a guest room, it was huge. Troy lead father to a presidential suite, I couldn't tell what the colors were because it was too dark. But it looked like a royal blue and off white theme. "And lastly, your room ladies." Troy opened a guest room with two king sized beds, the theme was purple and gold! just like my room back in Africa, I ran to the bed nearest the window and jumped on it with joy. "I'm glad you like it so far." Mia gladley copied my gesture, I could hear the bed sheets react to her falling upon them. "Dinner will be ready at eight." Troy informed before closing the door.

"Thanks for rooming with me." I told Mia

"It's okay, I could tell you didn't want to be alone. Besides, I've never had a room mate before!" she squealed

"Me neither, just don't make me change my mind." I played, the room was big enough for both of us to have our own space, never guessing that the other lived here. There was a dark curtain attached with the windows, of course mine would never be closed, but Mia's would, and every now and then I might close it for her sake. The room had a master bathroom, and two walk in closets, we explored the room and started calling times for the usage of the bathroom.

This might not be so bad, just keep me away from the violence and I might mistake this as a sweet getaway with Mia.

Just keep me away from the violence....
