a/n

first time reading? welp (y/n) means you gotta insert your name. i've read so many sans x readers/reader inserts that i naturally read "(y/n)" as "angel". like its a symbol in math. (l/n) means you gotta insert your last name. aand that's about everything you need to know in reading this book.
*there's no swearing in this part so feel free to read it to your three-year-old cousins for story time!

update 11/16/17::: changed the book name, cover art, and now its a sans x reader but not specifically sans from UT, not specific at all. i'll leave y'all to figure out this thingymajig. and i have a gewwwddd and better storyline to add in 'ere so yeh ENJOY

You're falling. Your surroundings are nothing. The ground is nothing. Everything... is nothing. And nothing doesn't make sense. Was that even a correct sentence?

The loose fabric of your pajamas flapped furiously and your hair flew into your face from time to time as you fell deeper into what seemed like an endless, black, void. An unfamiliar, clear, liquid spills into the air above you, becoming nothing but tiny particles as they grow further and further away from you.

Actually, no, wait, you're crying.

But why though?

White particles formed before you. Strange.

"Name the fallen human."

What?

You feel the urge to say "(Y/n)" but you don't know why. Letters being typed in, one by one...

...

Who's (Y/n)?

That's probably you..? You aren't really sure.

... who are you?

But that's not important right now.

You're still falling.

"Is this name correct?"

Yes
» No «

...

» Yes «
No

You hear a weird reverse-cymbal sound. How is that possible? Time doesn't work that way... does it?

...

Blinding light fills your surroundings. You think it's best to shut your eyes and brace for.. something.

+•*•+

You meet the ground. The soft, fluffy, and scented ground. Sweet. You think to yourself.

You look around. Oh wow. Everything's dark except the patch of buttercups beneath you. It's like they're glowing.

... But that's crazy talk. Buttercups don't glow.

Maybe it's just the lighting.
