2,000 miles

We met in a weird way. I don't even know how. Wait, yeah I do! It wasn't in school, it wasn't from friends, it wasn't even on Facebook. Well Facebook is close. Instagram. I don't know when Instagram became a dating website, but I guess it worked for me.

"Mtt_everett liked your photo" popped up on my phone screen. It was about 12am at the time and i was in bed. It happened multiple times before I finally tapped on the notifications which took me to Instagram. This "mtt_everett" liked a lot of my photos and I had no idea who he was so I commented on his most recent photo, "Hello?"

He responded quickly, "Sorry"

I wondered why, then I put "no, don't be"

then I sent "thankyou" and a smiley face. We kept texting back and forth in that photo's comments when I finally realized it, so I asked for his kik.

We literally talked all night. I don't know why, but we just met and I felt like I could tell him anything. He found out where I live and I found out where he lives, 2,000 miles away from me in Massachusetts. The night came to an end and so did our conversation. The few hours of sleep that I got did too when I woke up to multiple texts from the boy in Massachusetts, Everett. It was like 9am, WHAT THE HECK IS HE DOING UP SO EARLY!?! I checked what he sent me and I came across a lovely picture of a random tree. I chuckled at this text.

"Such an interesting tree" I pointed out to him and our very (very) long conversation continued. This boy mesmerized me and I don't know why. It's probably because how random he could get. Our conversations literally condoned mostly of emojis and him calling me kid. He was pretty funny, but most of all he was nice, unlike any other guy I've ever met. I think we will get along fine.
