My "Normal" Life

Life has always been hard for me. I never had anything handed to me on a silver plate, and I have always worked hard. I have worked hard to where I am standing today. Nobody provided anything for me.

People feel bad for me, and they pity me. I see no reason for pity. I am in the situation because I was born in this situation. I am used to it.

People tell me that I need to find a significant other. They say that that person will bring me out of this situation. I don't believe them. There is no such thing as love. Love is a thing that was created to hide the lies of hate and deceit from their eyes. People waste their whole lives trying to find love. Those are the people that I truly pity. They are searching for something that doesn't exist.

I have experienced love once. But it wasn't love at all. They only pretended to care because they felt bad for a little kid like me living on the streets.

I learned at a very young age that there is no such thing as love. And if there was any, it was meant to be an evil love.

People have always told me that I was not a normal person. That was the only thing that I believed that came out of their mouths. I knew I wasn't normal from the day that I turned 2 years old. I tried to hide it, but nothing I did could ever hide it. So I built up my walls so high that nobody could penetrate them.

I remember someone in high school told me that they loved me. I told them that there was no such thing as love, only pity. After I told him that, I never seen him again. Which only proved my point.

I knew not everybody was like this. Everybody has a different life. I thought my life was very easy. That was until I turned 18 and my parents threw me out because the state said that they didn't have to take care of me anymore.

Everybody who knew me started calling me Lion because no matter how hard life was, I always stuck to who I truly was inside. They called me that so much, I almost forgot what my real name was. I always knew who I truly was, ever since I was little. I wasn't going to let anybody take that away from me.

I had only one friend. Her name was Rylee. She also thought that there was no such thing as love. As I progressed in my boxing career, she was always there to support me at every match. Then I encouraged her to make something out of her life, because I knew that she was really smart. So she found a job that was really far away. But it paid a lot of money, and she was using all of her skills to their full potential, so I was both happy and proud of her. She started to miss some of my matches, which I fully understood, so I didn't really care.

I lived in a warehouse down town where all the hobos and thugs lived, so I always made sure I had a gun. I have my own gym there, and I work out all day every day. I have one job as a waitress for the coffee shop down the street from where I live. I save up my money instead of spending it so I can keep my gym equipment in tip- top shape.

People always pass judgement, but I don't really care. If they want to mess with me, then they can mess with me in the ring, but they won't mess with me again afterwards.

Like I said, my nickname is Lion and I won't let anybody take that away from me.
