"Dance with me and pretend the world doesn't exist," he pleaded.

She looked around quickly, her eyes flitting over the crowd. She nodded and took his outstretched hand.

"Thank you," she whispered. She wished she could see his face.

His smile was contagious. She thought he almost looked like her best friend. His left hand slipped around her waist and his right hand lifted hers up as he led her into a waltz.

It was so familiar and different at the same time. Then he looked at her and she recognized his eyes.

"What?" she gasped.

"You only fall for the guys you dance with. I wanted you to fall for me."

And after that, there was no going back.
