Chapter 2

Star POV

I honestly enjoy the way Lindsey uses her magic. It's so graceful and balanced, even though it's dark magic! I laughed a little seeing Ludo all afraid when he was picked up by a tentacle. He screams like a girl! Lindsey just stood there, letting her magic do all the work. I remember those times when she would capture little rodents and hug them so tightly that they would pass out. I wonder if that Lindsey is still there, laughing and jumping wildly, exploring forests and meeting new creatures along the way. I jumped out of my thoughts when I heard er scream,"Hey, come back here!" she ran towards the woods. "Lindsey, where are you going?! Come back!" i ignored Mr. and Mrs. Diaz calling for me and followed Lindsey into the forest.

Lindsey POV

I cut open a portal and threw Ludo. "Hey you all! Unless you want to die, which I'm pretty sure you don't, then you might as well follow your boss. I grabbed all of them and threw them in the portal. Well, that was quick. I turned around only to see a pair of to yellow eyes gazing at me. "What the..." I think it realized-- that I saw it, because I heard a rustle in the bushes and footsteps. Oh no. Probably a spy and maybe for my father! He might figure out where I am and bring me back to the realms. "Hey come back here!" I began running towards the woods to capture whatever that thing was.

"Stop you!" the creature kept running faster and faster. "I said...STOP!" one of my tentacles formed and tripped the creature on the ground. It kept squirming, trying to get out of my grasp. I pulled it towards me. What I saw, was a large septarian wearing a suit. "State your name and purpose." he looked at me surprised. "My name is Toffee, and I am here to retrieve something from the princess, Star Butterfly."

Toffee POV

This girl seems extremely fast. She kept chasing me, informing me to stop. I felt something wrap around my leg, and pulled me towards her. "State your name and purpose." She didn't seem surprised to see a monster like me. "My name is Toffee, and I am here to retrieve something from the princess, Star Butterfly." She looked at me strangely. "And what is it that you plan to retrieve?" I answered with no hesitation. "My finger." She backed away from me. "Eww, gross! Star would never do such a thing! Anyway, I have some questions to ask you before you head off. And tell me the truth. Understand?" I nodded. "First. Are you a spy?" I shook my head. "Are you in any relationship with the King of Monster Realms?" I shook my head once more. "Okay. Final question. If I told you that I ran away from my father, the king, and said he would give you a large reward, would you turn me in?" I stopped for a moment to think. A princess? Of monsters? No wonder why she wasn't afraid. And I know one thing for sure. That place is like Hell. "No, I wouldn't. I know the conditions of that place. Can you please let me go?" She looked at me. "Alright. If you want your finger, meet me at the balcony of Star's room. She took out a mini notebook and pen and wrote something on it. "Here's my number, so you can tell me when your coming. I trust you, and I hope that I'm not going to be mistaken." I nodded and took the paper. She let go of me. "By the way, the name's Lindsey Ann Mry." I shook her hand. "Toffee Hamilton. Pleasure to meet you." She smiled. Suddenly, a rustle from a few feet away, not far was getting louder and louder. "Oh no, Toffee, you should go now and quick!" I nodded and grabbed my dimensional scissors and cut a portal. "Goodbye, Lindsey." As I went threw and reached my castle, I felt drawn to the girl. She was interesting. I looked at the slip of paper she handed me. "She wants me to text her, huh?" I don't know what came over me, but, I seemed interested.
