Chapter 4

Lindsey POV

Toffee left. I sighed a little and rubbed the love mark. I jumped a little. "Lindsey? What are you doing in my closet?" I turned around. Of course, it was Star. "I um, woke up and found this mark on my neck, and it wasn't going away, so I thought that you may had some potion her. Star came closer and looked at it. "Hmm, oh hey, Lindsey! The mark is going away!" I looked at it. Yes it was going away. I sighed. "Thank goodness! Well, sorry for waking you up Star. Here, let's go back to bed." Star smiled and nodded. We both walked out of the closet and laid in our separate beds. "Good night, Star." A light snore came out as a response. I chuckled, she is such a sweet girl. Innocent, energetic. Just like me, before Mother died. I sighed and slowly fell asleep thinking about my mother.

Toffee POV

Reaching my castle, I was stunned. I had kissed a princess, no the princess, of the monster Realms! How could I? I got carried away! Anyhow, I held my finger in my hand. Yes, the one that I had lost years ago because of that queen. I slowly placed it on my finger. I winced from the slight pain it was creating. After a few moments, my finger was connected. It was done. I looked at my hand. All five fingers. I smirked, thinking that I did this all by myself, then I remembered Lindsey. She was the one who found. I took out my phone, but stopped. She could be sleeping still. I'll have to wait. I decided to go to bed and text her the next day.

THE NEXT DAY

Lindsey POV

I woke up at five, like any other morning, but laid down on my bed. My shoulder was a bit sore, but I didn't mind. "Star?" No response. She was still asleep. I sat up and looked at the balcony. The sun was coming up, earlier than usual. Looks like spring is coming. I took out my phone to check for any messages. None. Maybe I'll text Toffee.

Hey Toffee.

Good morning, princess

Do you always stay awake?!

No, I just woke up.

Same here.

Lindsey, can I ask you a question?

Okay.

Will you...Go out with me?

I stopped for a moment. Going out with a guy I met in one day. Why not take the risk?

Tavern.

All right. We'll go there.

Okay. See you then.

I sighed. Ten would be fine. I got up to get ready for school.

Toffee POV

I did not expect her to agree. The Tavern? Was she really being honest with her decision? Looks like I won't be dressing up fancy for that.
