"Hey kid, it's been 2 weeks already. Wake up."

I'm already awake. My eyes are just closed. I can clearly remember what happened.

Me waking up in a room. Clyde and Luna. Kane's disappearance. The explosion.

"Kid."

"I'm awake. Just give me a minute."

My mind still can't process what happened. Where did Kane go? Did he left or he got abducted?

"I'll be waiting outside." The man wearing an orange shirt and a khaki shorts took off. I think he's in his 30 or 40's.

I got up, go straight in the mirror and examined myself. I got some bruises on my left jaw. That's all I have.

I sighed in relief. I sat back on the bed and scanned the room. It has 4 double beds on both sides. Military style.

"What's taking you so long? Hurry up."

The beaming light from the sun and the fresh air welcomed me as soon I stepped out.  People are all running back and forth, taking commands and yelling at each other.

The man walked away without looking at me. I followed him with curiosity.

"What's with all the running and yelling?"

"They're planning an attack."

Attack?

I didn't question further because it's tiring to speak. We passed a room full of guns and explosives.

"Is this a military base?"

"Maybe. Stop questioning."

I followed him until he stopped at a room with a signage 'Meeting Room'.

Before I could even ask, he open the door and stepped inside.

Inside was a huge table, an 18 inches monitor showing a destroyed city and a bunch of oldies.

"Psst."

Clyde and Luna is sitting in the far corner of the room. I approached them and sit on Luna's side.

"What's going on?"

"We're here for some questioning. You know, on sector 7." Her voice broke.
