~Chapter 16~

(Mark POV)
By the time we got back to the house the sun was starting to set. Through parts of what I told (Y/N) earlier I was dreading a bit. There has to be a reason why nobody told her about what's going on. I chewed my lip just a bit as I turned the car off when we reached the house.

I glanced over at (Y/N) to see she quickly climbed out of the car along with Jack. Just all of this is starting to make me uneasy. I got out of the car and followed the two into the house. Jack was silent but looked at me to speak first.

I let out a small sigh then spoke, "(Y/N), how much did you've collected into your brain?"

"Just tell me who 'they' are." She looked at me with a bit annoyance in her voice. I looked at Jack then spoke, "The head leaders. In other words, they two that made the treaty and broke out into a war."

I looked at (Y/N) and saw she was a bit confused. I ruffled my hair a bit and was about speak again but was cut off by a truck horn. I turned quickly to see headlights beaming through the window were we are standing at.

"Who is that?" I said as I walked to the front door.

I stared out the side window that's connected to the door on the side, trying to see exactly who it is. Once I was able to see the figure I knew who the person was. I looked over my shoulder to (Y/N), "It's your uncle."

I felt the tension in the air, "Should I see why he's here?" (Y/N) didn't respond to my question but instead walked to the door and was about to open it. I quickly grabbed her food hand, knowing that her other was still in a spleen because of her shoulder. I notice Jack put his hand on her good shoulder at the same time.

Jack spoke through clinched teeth, "Let me deal with this." He moved (Y/N) closer to me, "Mark, make sure she doesn't get out or anything. I'll be back inside in a minute."

"Jack, I can take care of this. He's my uncle and I kn.." (Y/N) started to say but Jack cut her off, "(Y/N) no, you don't know him. You know of him but that man out there isn't what you think. He's not human, he's a vampire like me. Just stay with Mark until I get back."

Jack walked out before (Y/N) can protest but I felt she stood closer to me. I pet her head a little, "Everything is going to be fine, I promi.." a sharp yell cut me off as it followed with a smashing sound of wood.

(Y/N) pushed off of me as she rushed outside before I could grab ahold of her. "Damn it." I mumbled and rushed after her.

I wrapped my arms around her waist when she stood still on the porch but I caught a glimpse of Jack being pinned down. I let out a growl in instinct as I rushed (Y/N) inside the house.

"Lock the doors and don't let anybody in unless it's me or Jack, got it?!" I snapped at her but she wasn't paying attention. Her eyes were glued to Jack and her uncle. I let out another growl as I grabbed ahold of both of her cheeks and planted a heavy kiss on her lips. She snapped out of it when she finally kissed back, "Lock the doors and don't answer unless it's me or Jack. If anything go hide somewhere safe inside."

(Y/N) stared into my eyes before nodding. I kissed her one more time before lightly pushing her inside and shutting the door. I didn't move until I was able to hear the door being locked.

I quickly turned to the guys that are still fighting but I notice Jack was bitting into Luke arm. I let out a snarl and tackled Luke off the porch and onto the ground. Not knowing why Luke was fighting with Jack but I can't let him hurt anybody while I'm around.

I punched Luke twice in the jaw but then was thrown off by his legs pushing me off. I looked at him carefully and saw Jack attacking Luke from behind, leaving a chance to for me to change.

I let out a groan in slight pain as my ribs cracked in so many places while it took form of a different rib cage. In no time after that I was on all four paws, snarling in rage.

I notice Jack moved away a little and I took the chance. I ran up to Luke as I tackled him to the ground, sinking my teeth into his flesh that had this old milk taste to it but I didn't let go. I couldn't, I'm doing this to protect Jack and (Y/N). I ripped a chunk of his flesh right off before sinking my teeth back into his flesh once again and hearing a few crunching sound against my teeth. I was breaking his bones but I can feel them trying to heal back.

Luke punched me in the shoulder a couple of times, forcing me to let go of him. I was about to latch back onto him again but Jack snatched him away. I let out a snarl but saw Jack was about to rip Luke head right off but was thrown over Luke shoulder.

I pounced onto Luke, latching my jaw around his neck when he fell over. I bit down hard before a snap was heard. I let go and stepped to the side to change back to my human form

I was panting and wiping the horrible blood from my mouth. I glanced over and saw Jack ripping the now motionless body of Luke.

"Jack, I got the rest. Go check on (Y/N)." I said as I put my hand on his shoulder. He looked at me with a nod and rushed inside the house. I let out a huff as I got right to burning the remaining corpse.

(Jack POV)
I searched the house for (Y/N). I walked into her bedroom, having this feeling she would be in her room. I opened the door and as I expected she was sitting on her bed with a pillow in her arms and a knife in her hand.

"(Y/N), it's okay. Your safe now." I said soothingly. She tossed the pillow and knife to the side as she rushed up to me.

"Jack, are you okay? Your not hurt?" She wrapped her good arm around my ribs as she buried her face into my chest. I couldn't help but wrap my arms around her and held her close to me as I buried my face into her hair. Just this alone is all I ever want at the moment. I couldn't let go.

"Love, I'm fine." I took a deep breath to breathe in her scent. (Y/N) moved her head to look up at me with tears in her eyes.

I softly smiled at her and kissed her eyes full of tears. "Everything is going to be alright." I said with a slight hum.

I felt her back relaxed but then tensed right back up, "Where's Mark? Is he okay?"

I sighed softly, "He's perfectly fine, he's just taking care of things outside." I looked deeply into her eyes and cupped a hand on her cheek. I leaned a little down to her height and kissed her lips gently.

(Y/N) kissed back with a small groan. I pulled back just enough to look into her eyes, "(Y/N)."

She blushed this cute crimson color and I just want to nibble on her cheeks. I know I keep saying this but god she's so beautiful.

I picked her and put her on the bed as I kissed her again, repeatedly. I felt her arm wrapped around my neck and at the point I want her. More then I ever have but I know right now is not the time. I slightly pulled back a little as I looked at her.

(Y/N) looked up at me, "Jack." I just smiled at her and kissed her again but deeply till we heard a knock on the door. I jumped at the sound knowing I was a little lost in my thoughts of so many things I want with (Y/N). I sat on the edge of her bed and looked at the door as she quickly got off the bed.

Mark opened the door and peered into the room, "Is (Y/N) alright?" He walked into the room once he saw her and quickly hugged her tightly.

I looked away, hating to see that somebody I'm madly in love with being hugged by somebody but I can't get all mad about it because it's Mark. But still, I want her to myself.

I snapped out of my thoughts again and heard a kissing sound. I gritted my teeth and stood up, "I'm going to go fix something for dinner or find something."

I quickly walked out of the room and let out a big sigh in the hallway. I then made my way to the kitchen and searched in the fridge do something simple to cook.
