I was only a few steps up the stairs yet when...
"Dude, Isn't that your ex?"
I automatically turn my head and my eyes meet Austin's. He quickly turns his head. "So? It's not like we still have business together."
His words felt like a daggers...

"Oh we don't?" I say before I can think.
"Because to me it isn't over yet, Austin. You never even explained anything to me. I at least deserve an explanation!"
"Shit man, you didn't tell her? What the hell did you say? "Hy, we're over, by."?"
"Just shut up man." He sais while walking past his friend.
"Valery, what's taking you so long?" Gabriel's deep voice sais from up the stairs as he gets down.
He looks around, locking eyes with Austin and then me.
He walks until he is only one step away from me, and bends down. He keeps his face in front of mine, hiding me from Austin and his friend. "Want to make him jealous?" He wispers.
"Wha..." I can't react. Within a second he has me turned around, one hand at the small of my back, the other at my neck.
My back is now towards my ex. Gabriel's face so close that our noses touch. I can see him looking past me.
When he stands straight again he sends Austin a meaning full look and when I see the look on Austin's face, I realise and blush.
He made it look like he kissed me...
"C'mon val. You're stuff is already upstairs."
I saw how Austin clenched his jaw.
"See..." he said to his friend through gritted teeth. "No business at all."
He then stalled uf into the hallway. His friend looked at me in slight shock before following him.
When I went up the stairs Gabriel was waiting for me.
That bastard...
"How could you do that.." I say in mortification.
"That was the first chance I had at having a proper conversation with him sinds we broke up. How could you do that!?"
"Let me make things clear, misses drunkass. For one, don't think I'm offering you a stay at my place out of kindness. My brother gave me another lecture an hour ago about how the hell I could've been such an ass to such a vulnerable girl. I'll be staying at my brother while you stay in my apartment. In a week? I want you gone. You sleep on the sofa and take care of your own food. No touching mine.
Second. Would you rather have had him tell you how he doesn't give a shit? Your best shot at getting him back or at vengeance is by showing you don't need him. So you better thank me for that. At least now he gives a shit!"
His voice was stern. And I was left without words.
At my lack of a response he rolled his eyes and went to his door.
"I should have a spare key somewhere, if you lose it, you take care of it yourself."
I cautiously walked behind him into the living room.
He was going through his fridge.
"I seem to remember that I was allowed to grab annything." I say sarcastically.
He raises on his feet, something that seems to be a leftover of a previous day in his hand. "You." He began. "Were alowed to grab annything." He slowly walked towards me after placing his plate on the counter and only stops until he is less than a foot away from me.
"However, if you still want to grab something..." He trailed of, slowly grabbing and lifting my hands. I tensed up.
What's he gonna do?
Within a second, he was standing not even an inch away from me. One of my hands was guided to his hair and the other...
It took me another second to feel that he was slightly hard, him pressing my hand even harder on his crotch.
I pulled away as fast as I could.
"Don't do such things!" I shrieked out. The full sound of his laughter filling the room. He smirked at me and I blush, looking at him from under my eyelashes as I couldn't look at him straight. "Jerk."
His smirk became wider. "I just might have to do that if you keep looking at me like that."
"Oh? So most days it's just you and your righty hu? Didn't know you were that much of a looser." His smirk fell of his face. An expressionless face replacing it.
"Well, I'm left handed so that would be my lefty. As a matter of fact. And sweetheart, any girl wants me. I just don't want any girl." Then he turned to the kitchen again and went to eat the food he left there. And now that I knew it, I noticed he indeed did most things with his left hand.

I felt bad for being a bitch to him... it's true Austin did seem to care when he thought Gabriel had kissed me. And even offered me to stay at his place. Even if it was just for a week, it was something. ... something I hadn't expected.

"Thank you..." I say with a small voice.
He tensed up for a second. It almost looked as if he froze. But then he just went on with eating.
But, as I was putting my bags away, I heard an ever smaller... "you'r welcome..." and a soft smile crept on my face.
