namjoon walked to english as fast as he could without clearly looking like he was rushing. i want to make it to class before him. him, seokjin. ever since i acknowledged him he has been clouding my thoughts.
namjoon usually doesn't pay attention to who is in his classes but once he talked to seokjin he has been a lot more observant. he noticed that he is in two of his other classes. they have history and gym together.
unfortunately for namjoon the way he found out that they have the same gym class was via dodgeball to the face thrown by none other than seokjin.
eventually namjoon got into the classroom and was the first one there. "hello namjoon," their teacher, mr. song, (idk if that's how they call teachers in korea but i'm just going to go with it), started greeting him in english. "you usually are one of the last students to class what's the occasion?" mr. song finished in korean.
"oh no reason," namjoon responded, slightly laughing about how he almost ran to the classroom just to see a certain someone. speaking of a certain someone, where's seokjin? he's always here before me. namjoon wondered as the bell was going to ring any second now.
10 more seconds until the bell rings, and still no seokjin. namjoon stared at the door, waiting for the light brown haired boy to run into the room. he was brought back to reality when the bell rang, still no sign of seokjin. namjoon just turned around to face his teacher and sighed. why isn't he here? i really wanted to talk to him.
namjoon listened to the class, most of which he already knew but learned a few new things. it was like that until about half way through the class he heard the door open.
namjoon turned his head as fast he could, getting a few looks, but he didn't care because the boy he had been waiting for was standing in the doorway.
seokjin saw namjoon's gaze and gave him a quick smile. "sorry for being late mr. song, i had an appointment." seokjin said while walking towards his desk.
"that's fine seokjin as long as you stopped at the office." mr. song said walking towards namjoon's desk. "i did," he said as he grabbed his late pass from under his binder and handed it to the man in front of namjoon. "here you go."
"thank you seokjin." mr. song said quickly getting back to the lesson. the rest of the class went by far to fast for namjoon, he wouldn't see seokjin until 5th hour.
as namjoon was zipping up his pencil case he heard seokjin sigh behind him and mutter to himself. "why did i have to miss half of that lesson, i got literally nothing."
namjoon turned around "hey, seokjin, if you need help catching up i could help you today at lunch." seokjin went a little pink after namjoon's offer.
"oh, you heard me uh- wait let's go out into the hall." both of them grabbed their stuff and namjoon just followed him until he stopped in front of what he could only assume was his locker.
"like i was saying, you don't have to, i don't want to waste your lunch with an english lesson." seokjin said grabbing his math book.
"oh no, honestly it's fine, i'm already pretty good at english so that lesson was mostly review for me. i wouldn't mind spending a lunch period helping you seokjin." namjoon said, trying his hardest to make sure he would be with him at lunch.
seokjin was quiet for a few seconds then spoke. "okay, meet me here before lunch okay? oh and you don't have to call me seokjin, you can just call me jin." he told namjoon before smiling and walking away.
