"A deadly virus is sweeping across the United States. All citizens: please evacuate to Canada or Mexico were they will relocate you. I repeat, please leave the states for your own safety!"
Alex woke up on Friday the 13th to find his parents gone, and how his town has vanished. He turns one the T.V to hear the message repeating over and over as if it's on a loop. "A deadly virus is sweeping across the United States. All citizens: please evacuate to Canada or Mexico were they will relocate you. I repeat, please leave the states for your own safety!"
'I didn't know why my parents would've left me did they not love me anymore. I had to find out were they were and fast.' He thought, biting his bottom lip and glaring at the television screen in horror and confusion.
"But why would they just leave me anyway?"
"Since I live in Maine, I should head to the Canadian border. That will be my best bet at finding my parents.' Alex could feel the tears began to build in his eyes as he fought them away. In his moments of despair and abandonment, Alex worked up his strength to follow through with his resolve.
Alex ran to his room, packing all he would need. Picking up his dad's gun, not knowing what would be awaiting him. A tear ran down his cheek as he walked out and locked the door, remembering all the memories that have been made in this house.
Alex was walking for hours, his legs began to tremble as he began to slow down and take a breath. While he was breathing he heard voices. He hid behind a nearby car while looking at this group of no more than five men. Two of them being over 6 ft easily. the other three were short but built. The only one with a scruff seemed to be leading the group.
The unfortunate happened and one caught sight of me. I took my gun out but it was too late; they already had me by my shoulders and put a rag that reeked of chloroform over my mouth. The last thing I remember is being dragged into the woods.
