My parents pride

Chapter-8- We don't match

"Mom, I'm back!" I say happily after coming from the park with my dad.

"Mom! Where's mom dad?" I ask pulling his shirt.

"Alex, honey where are you, she's not in the kitchen, let's check upstairs." Dad said calmly even though I knew he was worried from inside.

"Ok dad !" I say and run upstairs.

I open the door to find out a lifeless body lying on the floor covered with blood.

I just stare with my eyes wide open , tears dropping on the ground. Wait is that mom. The world seems to stop at that moment. My beautiful mom was lying on the floor with blood.My body drops on the floor unable to form words. My vision blurs with the tears staining my eyes. The thought of my mom who will never be able to speak now , cause anytime she speaks its sweet.

I hear my dad yell.
"Faith is mommy up their sweetie." He asks while climbing the stairs to find out why I wasn't answering.

It's because I was sitting on the cold ground , pinching myself to wake up from the dream. Which wasn't , it was reality.

My day comes in the rooms, utterly in shock, his eyes filled with anger. He is furious. I can see the love in his eyes for mom with a mixture of anger. He doesn't do anything just holds her body in his lap and stares.

Then another arm pulls my dad and me.

"Run! Faith run." He shout after coming back in reality.

But I couldn't, my legs frozed, I looked up at dad.
One man in black, grabs my dad with his arm and slits his throat open.
My dad manages to speak,"take care of Hazel, and yo_"

I yell and start crying , punching the guy from behind who was holding me.

"Daaadd, moom don't leave me I love you." I yell while the man pulls me from the lifeless bodies.

They were gone long gone. Dead.

"Daddddd!!" I wake up shouting on my bed.

Tears swelled my eyes and I started crying my eyes out. It was a nightmare, a true nightmare. It was horrible, that day was horrible.

I was weak,but not now, I've come back this time much more stronger.
I swear that person will lead a painful death who snatched my happiness from me.

Suddenly I feel hands grabbing me I close my fists ready to punch the guy.

It was Jake, he was staring at me with a confused expression on his face.

I turned away my head wiping my tears which wouldn't stop falling.
He cups my cheek with his hand and turns his face towards mine. He wipes my tears while I look down unable to stop tears rolling down my cheeks.

I hug him tightly for what seemed to be forever and doze off to dreamland.

I wake up with a loud thud in the kitchen. I get up cautiously grabbing a gun in my hand believing that a burglar came in the house.

Slowly I go downstairs to find Jake in the kitchen making breakfast. I quickly hide my gun in my shorts and go towards him.

He says " Good morning red, I mean good afternoon,how are you feeling?"

Wait was it afternoon, did I miss school.Fuck

"Jake , did I miss school. What happened?"

"Well it was 10 and you were not in school, so I thought I would check on you and when I came you were still sleeping and having some sought of nightmare I guess.?" He says with a blank expression on his face.

"Yeah, it was horrible. So what is for breakfast."
I didn't want to tell him about my parents cause I don't trust him completely.
It seems he understood and didn't ask any further questions.

" Well it's an omlette."

I then remember the incident in school, where I thought he would kiss me and a smirk appeared on my face.

No one messes with Faith.
I wrapped my arms around Jake as he was facing the stove.

I move my lips to his neck and kiss it , while he is still in shock trying to poccess what just happened.
A smirk appears on his face.
Oh no this is bad.
He turns toward me and makes me sit on the kitchen counter with his body between my legs. He shifts his mouth to my ear sending my heart beat furiously.
He whispers,"So you wanna play dirty.?"

He starts planting kisses on my neck as I let out a soft moan.
He brings his mouth near mine almost brushing our lips.
Oh kiss me already.

Suddenly we are interepted my Jason and Jackson who seem to enter the house without knocking. A smirk is plastered on their face.

"Did we interept something?" Jason asks grinning to Jackson.

We both shift our places and stand awkwardly.

Jason sniffles" is something burning?"

"Shit , the eggs" Jake yells before going and switching the stove off.

"Well I guess pizza it is then." I say.

We are all seated on the sofa watching masterchef because I wanted to watch today's episode.

"So why didn't you come to school today?" Jason asks

Just when Jake was about to open his mouth I interept.

"I overslept!" I say cutting Jake .

"Oh, so do you wanna go somewhere out tonight like the new restaurant that opened nearby."

"You mean La Parish" Jason says.

"Yup we could totally go, besides I want to go out somewhere, I will tell Anna she might wanna come."

"Ok" they all said in unision.

We were seated in ' La Parish' what I assume is a french restaurant.

Jake had ordered ' Boef bourguignon(beef stewed in red wine ).'

Jason and Jackson had ordered 'Coq au vin ( chicken braised in red wine , lardons and mushrooms.)'

Anna and I had ordered Gougère (cheese in choux pastry)

The food was wierd. French type.

While I was eating Jake was sitting in front of me smiling and staring at me.

"Quit staring Jake, it's annoying." I said with an irritated tone.

He replied " Are you a camera , because I always smile when I look at you."

"I guess you were the guy who had to buy a drink for me." I say while all the others laugh.

After we ate we decided to return
back home. Jason, jakson and Anna went together in one car. While I and Jake sat on the motorbike.
We said our goodbyes and went back home.

When we reached my home, Jake insisted he come inside so that I can tutor him maths.

When we entered the house, Jake said
"Have you been to the doctor lately, you've been lacking vitamin ME."

"Whats with the pick up lines jerk." I say while removing my books for math.

"Are you a pencil, because I want to erase your past and write our future."

"Shut the fuck up Jake."

"Ok Ok was just checking if you will fall for me." He says putting his hands up in the air.

I go towards him and speak " You're the one who will fall for Stone, Mr Hammer."

" We will make a good couple in future." He says with his stupid smirk.

"Im stone your Hammer , doesnt match." I reply with sass.

"Yes, I'm the hammer that will break your stone cold heart."
